Didn't he stick with Zangief this time? Though I hardly think losing to Punk with any character proves anything.

a loss is still a loss at the end of it dosnt matter if its from punk or whoever,if the character you play at the time isnt able to stand against the opponents then you junk it and move to the ones who can give you the tool necessary to win and in this case he switched back to blanka.

I'm pretty sure he actually started out using Blanka, then switched to Zangief. Would you mind directing me to the match you're referring to? And no, I'm still right. If pros are purposely picking Zangief against Punk, then he clearly has something going for him.

go on youtube you can find multiple videos,they go back and forth but his most dominant plays are with blanka, and they picked him because he got nerfed and slightly buffed,im not playing the whos right and whos wrong game here soooo cool i guess.

Do we not disagree on Zangief's status as a joke? I thought our previous interactions implied that we did. If not, then what did you mean by calling him a joke, and claiming Mena got the memo and switched? Do you just dislike Zangief as a character?

no i like zangief but compared to the other characters in the roster hes like a joke,he dosnt have most tool sets that a majority of the roster has,like marisa and honda and maybe lily he just dosnt accel at all

I'm with JWong. Ive always hated Zangief and I think grapplers being strong (IE - easy to use) in the meta is generally bad for the game.

Grapplers should be technical characters that are strong when MU knowledge is applied to their tools etc. Zangief in his current form isnt that.
