Does Mai not have a cross-cut?

Usually when I cross-cut with a shoto, I can simply do the half circle input. But with Mai she is unable to do that since you usually get ninja bees instead. Is she incapable of cross-cutting? If so, when does Capcom plan to fix this?

Edit: OP is trolling. I demonstrated that Mai is able to cross-cut in video, but now asked me to do it wrong to prove that it isn't possible. Report him.

Maybe you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up your input, not ending your move in a diagonal and it now just happends that you play a character with overlapping inputs?

Well, I did it with and without sloppy inputs. Also, I don't find any other thread or topic on social media. Would be crazy to think after 3 weeks nobody tried a cross-cut with mai, wouldn't it?

So how about you do this: when you try to cross-cut, do forward->forward-down->down->back-down->back + light kick and tell me what you get.

You are most likely too slow on the input. Here is a site I pulled up, that details the required directional input timings: https://rentry.co/35ch3#dragon-punch-motion

I know the issue, since I play Cammy ever since. and she has that with spriral arrow and cannon spike. It not only applies to cross cuts but also the other way around, meaning walk forward into spiral arrow giving you a cannon spike, when doing to too fast. This one has an easier fix since, you can just start the qcf-motion from down-back.

If getting faster with the motion does not feel good for you, another option is to stop the half circle at down-back.

TBH, I just feel like I am doomed to the life of eternal ninja bees when I want DP and DP when I want ninja bees. 😭
