Capcom did a great job with her. I'm pleasantly surprised, especially as I felt their rendition of Terry was disappointing
The only other post I know you mentioned Mai's difficulty in was in a comparison to Juri. Asking which one was harder to play, and Juri is largely considered one of the easiest characters to play because of how straightforward she is. So that's why everyone was telling you Mai was more difficult. Not that Mai is a hard character, just that when compared to one of the easiest characters she's a bit more technical.
It's like asking who's easier to play Honda or Akuma. Obviously Honda, but that doesn't mean Akuma is a hard character. Just means he has a little bit more going on.
