New costumes, BattlePass rework coming this summer

1) “working hard on new experiences” SSF6 wink, wink?

2) they have been working on outfits for a while, won’t be releasing all at once this time around.

3) less battlepasses, more items that can be used in fighting grounds. Hm, probably not costumes. Maybe colours? Maybe some other form of small customisation options. Hopefully a bit more than titles and intro backgrounds.

Outfit 3, release it for everyone in a batch but later for DLC characters. Oh wait, there's a 2nd season DLC so by the time the others get a 4th outfit they'll receive a 3rd outfit much later. Oh wait its season 5, everyone has a good amount of costumes but these ones have nothing.


I don't care if SF5 was inconsistent with the amount of costumes Chun has compared to the rest, at least costumes were a thing, and I am glad they finally realized how dumb the original idea was.

Eh, at the same time gradual trickle of costumes might build more excitement than dropping them in one go anyway. At least some people should be made happy at certain points in the year.

Yeah, I don't see them really adding anything particularly exciting to the Battle Passes. The most I'm expecting is maybe one or two extra colors for the default outfits to still add little bit of FOMO, but nothing really particularly exciting. Gotta save all that for the stuff which they'll charge you about $10 bucks a pop.
