Anyone else find the cover horrifying?
I literally recoil when I see it- it’s just so….. off-putting. I can’t say exactly why- perhaps because I cannot look direct at it- but is it just me? I’ve just never seen a game cover that really influenced me one way or the other.
It’s obviously no big deal- just curious.

Yeah, really hoping for that Super SF6 to change up the cover art for the better.
Don't know if you own the SF6 beta on steam but that one has a much better cover art and to this day I ask myself why didn't they pick that one instead

I have bad news for you. Today's kids don't know who Popeye is.

Edit: And by kids I mean people born after we did. A lot of them are adults now.

I’m an old soul- I know Popeye (and popeyes!). I didn’t connect the two…. I just know that I’ve seen this a few times and it just makes me feel sad inside. And scared. Actually- as a piece of art it works: it evokes lots of feelings and emotions. I just wondered if I was the only one that had this reaction.

Kids know who Popeye is, he's a big meme as much as Shaggy or BB is. They love to throw him against OP characters like OPM.

Yea the cover is horrible, Luke trying to do his best Popeye impression and failing at it hard.

Just be glad you weren't one of those "lucky" few that won a PC with that cover painted on it at launch of the game.

They probably know him as a meme- which if it’s like my nephew I’m pretty sure he thinks everyone can be summed up in a picture and caption.
No- I’m not Mr Oldy-old, I just think memes and those internet montages are the reason everyone around me has a 3-second attention span and the people at Popeyes always forget my sauces. Blackened ranch is not optional- it is a requirement. And I will fight on that hill forever.
