I mostly wonder how distant the Ultimate Master and Legend are going to be.


I'll probably stick with regular Master, I got burned out of SF6 in general.

I like how it is, personally, but also I am not bothered by it? As long as I get matches.

There will also be new unlockables colors for people playing matches in Master Rank it seems.

I kind of liked how masters seemed like the Salty Spittoon and you never really know what you're gonna get unless you actually look at their MR in the hub. doesn't seem like it really changes anything though, just another PNG to wear like Holiday said.

Oh the unlockable colors are a nice incentive too, they should do more unlockable colors.

I think it's about time. A lot of people hit master, get destroyed, and stop playing ranked. It was all stick and no carrot.

Actually this is true, a lot of 1500 MR who quit ranked. I got destroyed too first time I reached there and was like WTF and not gonna lie, thought about quitting. I was literally thrown against “pros” in our regions, one of world’s best players and veterans of the series.

I did not quit, but was VERY close to. I think this is a healthy change.

Albeit as I said will result in deader regions. Already lower ranks are dead here it seems. They should remove region lock and let you pick region, matchmake based on ping preference. Netcode is great here.

It was inevitable in a game that lets you advance with a negative win rate and absurd winstreak bonuses. I think Capcom tried a little too hard to ensure that people at the absolute lowest ranks aren't left feeling out of their depth. Now they reserve that feeling for hitting master.

Master rank is a joke because the skill gap between a low Master (like me) and a high Master is massive

People get to Master rank and think they hit the upper echelon of players but don't realize hitting Master is just the beginning of that journey to get better. The difference between a low Master and high Master is absurd

I think people understand this, I think it is just a difference of people who are okay with the MMR system and people who want to have ranks to climb to and aren't happy with just an MMR number.
