Is this game easier than Tekken 8?
I'm a Tekken player that's pretty much hard stuck at tekken emperor looking to play a less stressful and easier fighting game. I've been hearing from my friends that SF6 is among one of the easiest FG's in the market. Is this true.

Yes and No
Drive system is more intuitive, better netcode than Tekken, Modern Control feels better than Tekken's 'special control', less forced knowledge check, and so on
But also Drive system puts you in different kind of mental stack than Tekken, and combo system in Classic control relies more on link than Tekken's float juggle system
So your mileage may vary

Try the demo, pick it up during a sale (can't be more than two weeks now), see how it goes for you~

Good idea, they do have demo for people to try out first, and I believe Winter Sale is coming soon too

Lower level play I would say Tekken is easier, but the skill curve in SF is smoother and you can improve more consistently.

In Tekken intermediate play is a massive steel wrought brick wall. The game gets really complex once you get out of lower level.

You seem to understand both games well. What's your rank on both?

I do hear people say that SF6 is a better "Product" as a whole because of the better netcode and better controls for newbs etc. Gameplay is a bit mixed though

Oh yeah, SF6 is complete package as product. Gameplay is mixed bag, especially if you compare it to something like Tekken 8. Being pushed to corner really puts major pressure on defender, sometimes to the point of it being checkmate. So winning neutral is important, but that also involves huge mental stack due to the existence of drive system (which involves Drive Rush, for example). Which is why I said YMMV, because it really depends on what you're looking for

Nah, I'm still pretty much a newb at Tekken and not an amazing SF6 player. But as someone whos pretty bad at both, I feel like I get more fun out of SF6 and I have an easier time learning matchups and mechanics in SF6.

I think as much as people complain about drive mechanics in this game, heat in Tekken is worse.

I wouldn't say SF6 is easy than T8 but SF6 has its own difficulty. For sure, the game plan on SF6 much easier from T8 due to no side step and the combo are much easier to get into than T8. But SF6 game mechanic are harder than T8 which has resource management with drive gauge and super art gauge which you need to keep your eyes on through the combat. And also drive rush, drive impact and parry that you need to keep your toes on all the time.

To sum up, both are hard if you reach on high level. But I feel SF6 is more fun and more rewarding playing in the long run than T8
