Eeeeh, I don't see it. I think their relationship works a lot better as friends, since Akuma is still an old curmudgeon willing to die and kill to become "the Master of the Fist", but with the way Elena is always so positive he could maybe find there's still some humanity left in him. We saw traces of it in the way that he seems fascinated by how Ryu smiles just for the love of the fight, maybe Elena could draw a bit more of that out him.
But their personalities are still too far diametrically opposed for me to go "yeah, now those are some couple goals".
if so then who would you ship elena with?
I can see the same thing happening to Akuma, falling in love with Elena, even joining Elena's bar business in some pretty African beach, selling his fruits inside. But when a strong opponent appears to challenge, he will abandon Elena, seeking the final fight.
