Modern Ken is not even that bad, try Luke and then you'll quit for good.
Could you beat them on a level playing field, using Ken and Modern controls? If not, they're better than you, which is why they've won a similar amount of games to you, are at your rank, and are beating you.
The $15 avatar costumes are terrible, yes. Today I placed in ranked with Juri and probably played 25 sets altogether. I spent the princely sum of zero dollars while doing this.
I think the problem is that posts like these are just public venting by people who were beaten by [insert the noun being complained about here] in a match they otherwise think they should have won.
It's essentially looking for external validation of inward frustration, and the more unhinged it comes off, the more it attracts its own set of insults.

This guy shared you the answer to your problem
I didn't have that thought watching any of the matches at EVO. The main thought I had was that I should just hang up my spurs and take up stamp collecting or something.
But I'm pretty sure that I could provide some insightful commentary on anybody who thinks modern is in any way OP. I guarantee you that none of the pros at EVO have that opinion.
Anyone using modern is a joke to me but Ken players actually have to be worst. Not only do they need/want to win so badly that they'll use the highest tier character, they'll do it using modern controls having such a huge advantage on execution because they simply cant do it otherwise. Its sad, this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks man.
The newbie can learn the game with modern, and make the switch to classic later. Also, even if the newbie wants to play classic from the beginning for some odd reason, the matchmaking is not bad in this game, so they should find plenty of similarly skilled opponents.
And that's if they even want to play ranked. There's also casual.
But the overwhelming likelihood IMO is that a newbie is going to have a gamepad and find a 6-button attack interface to be pretty awkward, and use the default control scheme: modern. The franchise wasn't invented for gamepad, but this game is gamepad friendly. Having to use a trigger for a normal is awful. Yes, some people have learned to do the moves on a gamepad, but that doesn't make it a good UI for the gamepad.
I can't play classic without a fight stick, and I don't feel like buying one, so that's the main reason I'm playing modern. But I find that I like it, so I may stick with it.
If that is the case, then my friend, the problem is not the game or the modern Ken. Try to fight a modern Luke and then you'll see how toxic it can be. Happy Chaos in SF6.
