Yes and No. As of now the only game they tried is RE Revelation and that got rollback. There is rumor going around that they will do this to all their games however if some mods ain't working now then it is because of update. Can't use a mods that is pre-Aki update and expect it to work.
Anyway, Sf6 is not part of the new DRM at least for now. The base mod needs update every time the game updates. Ask the mod uploader to update to the latest game ver.
Worth noting out there is no way to distinguish cheats from innocents mods. Any tampering will be detected along side as cheats/hack. In a competitive game, rather have no cheaters than being able to mod. Just do Namco way and ban all modders from accessing online this will at least keep the online safe and for those of who wants it can just play on their own with mods offline.
worst take of the day. if you don't want mods go play on console. the entire PC community was built on mods, its one of PC's biggest selling points and what makes it unique. whats next, you want to take away keyboard and mouse too?
People have been making stuff up and I want to be able to show they're idiots for making stuff up.
Reply only quoting what's convenient only for them. Will say it again. Anything being tampered will be detected as an anomaly. This game is a competitive live service game at least on the online side of content. Just play with mods on p2p outside of official connection/server with friends. Why drag the whole entire community along with it?
If you want full customization mods/cheater, you can go play games like T7 or Guilty Gear. They are loaded with people like that. They offer anything from auto punish scripts to injection attacks to brick opponent's pcs.
I highlight the part that I'm responding to. i'll say it again as well, if you dont want mods dont play on PC. its not for you. go buy yourself a console.
I hope you know if this game gets Enigma DRM you get a worse product in turn even if you dont mod. It will cause frame drops between 10-15fps, stutters and delay.
How is a "Sexy China Dress" Mod on Chun-Li cheating? Also, They Consider it bad reputation? You're talking about CAPCOM right? Do you know anything about them?
CAPCOM itself should be considered "Bad for reputation" for CAPCOM.
