Couple of things SF6 could learn from competition
Here are some things that I would like to see SF6 that are common in other games:

1. Combo trials. I mean, combo trials in SF6 are not bad, but eg in GGST you need to do the combo perfectly several times and if you fail a couple of times, you have to start over.

2. Custom user combos: Once again from GGST, users can submit custom combos which you can search, do, and like/dislike. Making it incredibly easy to share knowledge and learn optimal combos

3. Post-fight replay analysis. This comes from Tekken 7. During key moments in the replay, the playback will stop and give you key notes like "you could have whiff punished this like this", etc. It also makes a cool sound when you did manage the punish during the game. It also suggests optimal combos, etc.

4. No cap on rematch. In T7 you don't play FT2, you keep rematching as long as you want, and if you don't mind messing up your ranking, you can learn A LOT in ranked matches this way.

5. Drammatic battle. This doesn't come from the competition, but from SFA series, and it's basically either 1v2 or 2v1. Really fun to play.

1) Absolutely, repetition is key. MK1 needs this too, it's trials are also 1 and done.

2) 100% with you on this as well, the problem with combo trial combos for people who are new, or new to a character is they often have sub optimal, or just not practical.

3) Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious?!?!?! when did they add this, that's actually pretty brilliant.

4) Yes either this or longer sets, with some kind of bonus to both players if they do at least a best to 5 or something.

5) That would kind of be cool, or would also like to see a CVS2 style ratio setup where you can pick 1-3 characters and get 4 ratio points. So you could have like a giga boosted level 4 Marissa vs your opponents Level 2 Ken, Level 1 Kim, and Level 1 Guile or whatever.

So if I were to add one it would be

6) Just steal Tekken 7's ranked system, I'd much rather be a Vanquisher than a Plat 1 or whatever.

gg +r accent core has the best replay system by far, every game needs to copy it.

I agree infinite rematch is much better for learning, but its not how a ranked mode should be it allows farming of worse players to inflate your rank. Ranked should force a first to 2 or 3 imo.

SF6 does have the option to ask the other player to play in custom room if you want to.

BTW, one thing I would also want back is SF3 light tatsu. Recovery on that thing was so quick you could basically use it as a quick way to approach the opponent and throw him...

It really needs an online co-op/CPU Dramatic Battle. The others are nice, especially infinite rematch, but I'm not a fan of the first one one bit.

Would be nice if they could borrow the Ghost Battle from Tekken, too. Always liked that mode and wasted countless hours of my life on it, back when I still liked the series.

One thing I forgot: Tekken 7 - Being able to easily access opponent's Steam account from within the game. Great way how to collect hate mail :D.

To be frank, everything except 3 and 4 is not needed.
I would say SF6 only needs to be fun to play, and not to feel like a chore. Watching paint dry is sometimes more exciting than playing/watching matches.

2 and 3 sound pretty cool, i don't think 4 should be a thing for ranked because you can practically farm points on lower players - but this could easily be solved by having the game simply not count it as a ranked match after the 2nd/3rd rematch.

There is no way GGST's custom combo list is useful. 99% is just garbage and there's like 0 way to sort through that, You can 100% find much more useful stuff on twitter( Can't say I'm actually saying this but "X" now or youtube.)

4. Inifinite rematch...
T8 is getting rid of that sadly... If sf6 custom room invite at the end of match actually worked, maybe it's worth as a work around the current system.

5.Would be so fun if we can have 2vs2 as limited time event.

If anything GGST would benefit from developer made combos (but keeping the custom trials as an option) just so that there's always something to check for combos regardless how many updates deep the game is.
