Ultimate Edition does NOT include Year 2 Pass ??

So i was thinking of getting this game and just saw the game has 2 year passes.

Let me get this straight... apart from the fact that i'm paying more for the Ultimate Edition for the godamn Year 1 Pass

I have to pay more if i want to use freakin BISON because he's in Year 2 Pass ??

I mean, the Deluxe Edition also includes the first season pass? Or you can just buy the vanilla game and season pass 2 separately if none of the year 1 characters appeal? Or even Bison separately?

I don't see any of the characters being sold separately.

The only way to get them is with the Year 1 Pass or Year 2 Pass.

I am not seeing separate DLCs for each character on the game's store page.

What is that, how does that work exactly ?

Basically once you have the game and are in it you can buy coins with real money, that you can then spend in the game on things like characters, costumes, and more besides.

If you've played any GaaS title in the past 15 years you're probably familiar with it.

Correct. The Ultimate Edition was available to purchase on the games release two years ago and the content it contains now is identical to what was offered back then. Anything released from Year 2 forwards is beyond the scope of what it provides.

The name shouldn't be ultimate because it's not ultimate at all. There's a lot more to come.

Ultimate Edition was always deceptively named and the "Year 1 Ultimate Pass" it includes is widely hated for this reason: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2224461/Street_Fighter_6__Year_1_Ultimate_Pass/

Ideally it should have included the second and third costume and all the colors for the base roster too. At a minimum it should have included all the colors for the first and second costume for the base roster. In that case the Year 2 Ultimate Pass should have included the third costume for the base roster. Instead everyone in the base roster gets colors 1 and 2 in every tournament setup resulting in an boring time. Only for individual sale costume 3 for the base roster is crazy overpriced and uncommon.

Even if the colors were included the number of Drive Tickets is completely inadequate given the pricing of what should be illegal company scrip. As some things are only available via Fighter Coins that should have been in a pass too but you can only buy them in amounts just short of or completely excessive of what you need which is another business practice and monetisation strategy that should also be illegal.

Due to this I haven't bought season 2 on any of my 3 setups. Probably going to be the same with season 3 for me sadly...

Yeah bought the ultimate edition back when it was advertised as something like "Includes future dlc", but it meant it will just include S1 dlc...
Felt a bit scammed since I could have just bought cheaper edition without useless stuff.

it did include everything back when it launched. the year 2 pass released way later.
I'm assuming they will make a new bundle once season 3 is announced or sth.

eu sugiro voce comprar o jogo base e os dois seasom passes mais eu sugiro aguardar por que em breve terá um terceiro seasom pass

Yeah but the wording is the "Future dlc" which in some games that when bought gives you actually something meaningful.

It's just that DLC nowadays are just mostly scams where devs cut some content out of the game and add it as day 1 DLC for people to pay extra.
