Street Fighter™ 6

Characters looked a lot better even in SF2
I'm playing Super Street Fighter 2 on arcade machine.
The character designs are so much better than they are in SF6.

Characters are a lot prettier and better looking. Especially Cammy. No weird anatomy as well (like Chun Li's overbloated thighs or Manon's giant feet in 6) or uncanny valley faces (most of the characters in 6).

Cammy's face is so much prettier in SSF2.

I also really like the colors, lightning and attention to detail.

30 years old game and it feels and looks a lot better in this regard.

Given everything you've said about how ugly the women are in MK and this game there's no way SF2 Chun Li meets your beauty standards

its because they are art works instead of 3d models. 3d models changed the way they all looked. Artwork was each frame drawn to look good.

Sprites from back then don't have much facial detail. There's not much space to work with there to make them pretty or whatever.

If you go back and look at the old SF2 artwork from the early 90s it's clear that they never tried to make Chun Li look super glamorous or like some kind of super model.

Trollface Ken/Ryu win pose in World Warriors is probably the best sprite face I've ever seen.

LOL. Well you have to remember back then the resolution was literally pixels too.
Its the hot woman drunk effect but low res.

It was mostly art direction I think, they got normal faces in Champion Edition after.
SFA2 is the prettiest street fighter
Even tho your threads are mostly for fun, there is a truth in them oftentimes.
I do agree Cammy looks ugly. It's beyond me how did Capcom manage to uglfy Cammy after SFV. It takes serious effort to do that. Her body was also better in SFV, and I also find strange people going strong in claims she looks better. Guess it's in tastes.

Chun on the other hand looks amazing, but - like you said - her thighs are absurdly big. For no reason. She could've had toned thighs, big ones and still to look great.

For other characters, male or female, it's mostly hit or miss. For male characters, Ken looks great, so is Ryu. Blanka also looks very good. And Zangief.
Luke is trash, was in SFV, and is now. Other ones are so-so.
Female ones, Chun is best looking, Cammy doesn't look bad (but facial features and her build makes her way less attractive), Marisa is like Abifail, Manon is ridiculous, and other ones are passable.

Don't agree on SFII being better in that department due to its age and hardware possibilities.
But agree with adding a lot of colors to moves and lighting problems.
I'm going to go hug my wife and feel some gratitude for the fact that I don't get worked up whether non-existing computer animations representing women that I cannot talk to are beautiful enough for me.

Nope.

Someone can be beautiful without you finding them attractive. Just as how you could perceive the moon as a silver coin in the sky, but it would still be a cratered spheroid much larger than a coin orbiting the Earth.
