Do you think a career in SF6 worth it?
It seems that being a pro in this game is a lucrative career. Nephew was a software engineer in Google but he quit his job to become pro sf6 player full time.
Do you agree with his move?

Isn't this like the third time you've made this topic?

It's generally not very lucrative outside of maybe the top 1-2%

And even the top players are likely not pulling in FANG software engineer money (especially when you consider stock options and ♥♥♥♥)

That being said money isn't the end all, be all for everyone. Nephew is passionate about Street Fighter, he's only going to live once so if he wants to chase what truly makes him happy then good on him.

Nephew is a smart dude, he's probably got enough of a nest egg between his liquid assets and I'm assuming something resembling a solid portfolio of investment assets... so it's probably not the gamble you think it is. He can always go back to being a software engineer if he has a legit FANG pedigree, so he's probably not worried about that.

He might know something we don't. Or he simply didn't like the job (money isn't the most important thing in the world - it helps, but one shouldn't sell their soul for it).

Its true. IDK his living situation, but if he was living at home for five years while making 200-250K/yr at google, he probably already has a mil in the bank, if he didn't have any student loans.

If anything, its an example of why you should go to college.

Punk asked this same question three times in front of a mirror and suddenly became extremely good at whiff punishing.

no, its not worth it. Maybe in 2014 till 2020, the e-sports meta was profitable and on the rise.

Now? not so much anymore.

I think nephew gonna do what nephew does and he's going to be fine because he's smart, capable, and gosh darn it people just like him.

I also think all of you should lift weights at least 30 minutes a day twice a week.

I think coffee is delicious.

I think spiders are disturbing.

But most of all I think none of our opinions on this subject are worth the urine we write them with.
