But hey, if the game gets your dander up, seeking out a game that does spark joy might be the play. 1v1 games can be harsh on one's perception of their own ability.
Its not about the dlc characters being "top tier" simply paying to get access to more characters is a advantage
I think he means not being able to select them in training mode. Which tbf is super scummy. Especially for characters like bison where he will eat you alive until you learn what always punishes his kicks and mediums.
Its also very obviously. A greedy manager kind of decision. A total oversight that you still need to be able to see their frames data in game and practice your punishes on them even with out paying.
Like imagine if you had to pay to lab honda. That would be very messed up. Since if you can't perfect parry him he kind of just wins by default. But if you don't want to play as him being forced to buy him just to not auto lose to him would be so incredibly lame. Its just bad precident.
We have replay takeover now, so you can lab out anything you get hit by whether you bought the character or not.
It's not, you can't change your character mid-match and you can't even see the opponent's character before getting into a match. It's also a 1v1 game so there is no team or assist synergy to consider.
Having access to more characters means nothing in the outcome of any given match.
