Frame & Audio Drops -SOLUTION FOUND- ARMORY CRATE is the issue.

Hello everyone!

Ill keep this some what brief. Recently I've been struggling with audio, and frame dips for no reason at all. (I have a 4090, with a i911000k.So the PC def meets the minimum requirement by far) After each patch once the sharers compile, I might be good to play a few matches for a good 30 seconds then I get random frame drops, and audio cut outs during heavy FX or texture sequences.(Fireballs, Special moves, etc.) In a game like this on a somewhat of a competitive or even a good causal level its annoying to play because you can drop inputs due to the frame drop or frame spikes. I went through the discussion forums here, along with Reddit and no good perma fix...Until now.

I recently discovered a forum of people who were talking about how useless Armory Crate is, and how it causes loss of frames and performance up to ~20-30%. That is because it is bloatware. It runs in the background using multiple process threads in-which interferes with the games you may be playing. So I uninstalled it and BOOM. The problem that has been bugging me for the past few months is now completely gone and i can now enjoy SF6 again. I've also seen improvements in other games I've been playing.

With all of that being said if you were like me and have this issue and you are on your last leg and you own a ASUS motherboard. High suggest you give this method a shot. If you are worried about your RGB and fan control, their are other options out that can get the job done and won't starve you computer for resources for no reason. (Or you can do it in the BIOS for us savvy folk.) And yes the Asus Armory Crate uninstall tool is available on ASUS's website.

Still an issue i was dealing with and just realized the same thing. on apex legends i was getting ungodly FPS stutters on a 4080 super. Was driving me insane. Started uninstalling some software that wasn't needed and after armory crate, it finally fixed it.
