Bison has too much safe option (like ken and many other)

Why does his EX psycho crusher is safe on block without the buff on enemy.
Knick press which is already annoying and cannot be perfect parry and drive Di is too risky.

EX psycho crusher is -3 ob and can’t be spaced out like scissor kicks can. The fact that it’s a charge move means he isn’t gonna just throw it out constantly. Since the other versions are death on block, you can anticipate the EX version far more if you’re playing a character with a fireball

Bison has some really stupid moves but psycho crusher isn’t one of them

You mentioned fireball, what about people who do not have it? scissor kick is save at medium range and event reversal SPD cannot counter it. Scissor is so fast that you do not know the diff between his fw HP so dive impact is high risk.
At this point they just want you to pay the character because of all the tool he has.

EX psycho crusher might help him move in faster but I don’t see why it’d be used in that way over scissor kicks. So if you don’t have a fireball and they use it, it’s still a -3 on block move that they can’t make into a space trap

Only 2 of his normals are safe on block being 5HP and 4HK. The rest are all negative except for 5MP which is 0 so no, he doesn't have too many safe options

I can't believe reading another Anti-Bison thread where moves aren't called correctly, framedata isn't right and character knowledge is not given while we have characters we need to care more about e.g. Cammy, Rashid, Guile, Chun, Aki, Akuma, Ed.

I am really freaking surprised that no Anti-Blanka thread is up because this guy is mixing you to death. Seems that a lot of you guys dont play on highrank in order to meet good Blanka players.

Top 24 had a bison vs bison kill Nemo vs Xiaohai.
Top 6 also had a bison.
There were (at least) 3 bisons in top 24 that i am aware of. Nemo, Xiaohai and Pugera.

How much more representation do you expect in a game with 23 characters? The average expected count for top 24 in a balanced game at that point should be very close to 1.

even more a reason to finally know the matchup omg...you guys need to start to think from outside your box.

In fairness Blanka's highest winrates are in Iron through Gold, but he also has ~1.5% pickrate there so it's perfectly plausible to rise through most of those ranks without ever bumping into a Blanka.

That said, considering we only had two Akuma, one Chun-Li and not a single Guile or AKI make it to top 32 at Evo I'm not entirely sure I agree with that assessment. Granted, the season is still young so goodness knows how things will look by the end of the season.
