It provides a universal counter to fake pressure strings, without it some characters really wouldn't have the tools to deal with and for some characters that fake pressure would become real pressure.
But how is it "RNG"? There is no randomness involved, it's a button that gets intentionally pressed with very reliable counters to it and very reliable situations where it's more likely to give results. If it were like Brawl's tripping mechanic then yes, it'd be RNG because it just happens at random without any input from the player.
I hate drive impact, when my opponant is doing it.
Must be nice to only have your character fall over, mine gets completely erased when I get too greedy with DI
That being said sometimes I don't do the sweep because I conditioned you for a sweep and I hit your DI with a DI and feel like a big brain.
Drive impact forces people to play neutral! It forces people to play the game in an orderly way or else they will get blown up!
If you are constantly jumping in or trying to skip neutral with big buttons, those are the moves that get blown up by DI.
If you are on the ground and ready with your defensive options, if someone dares to use DI at the wrong time, you get an instant 3-4K combo.
Its only hard to react to when you are playing unga bunga. Good way to out yourself.
