What are other great classic fighting games worth my money?

I just recently got into SF6 - never really played fighting games and am thoroughly enjoying myself. So much so, I want to go back and play some classic fighting games that I may have missed in years past.

I am looking at SF5, 4, and the 30th Anniversary collection (for SP really) and saw Marvel vs. Capcom on the store as well. Anyway, what do you all recommend? What past classics should I play? Feel free to name some non PC games as well - I have access. Cheers.

DON'T buy the 30th Anniversary Collection. Save for the Alpha games all of them are extremely difficult to beat and 9/10 games have input lag on the SINGLEPLAYER.

SF4 is fun but there's absolutely noithing to do offline and the online is dead with some hackers, here and there.

You could also take a look at the reviews that I wrote. Pretty much everything on the front page = fighting games.

KoF XIII is a great older game, just get the global match edition on PS4 if you can as it has rollback and you can still find matches online. EDIT: Fightcade is a great way to play older games as well.

Wow, didn't know even SP has input lag. Terrible. What do you mean save for Alpha?

How is SF4 and 5 just for SP? 4 is less than $4 and 5 is $10. Not expensive, but not sure if they are worth my time. I'll check out your reviews too. Ty.

SF 4 and 5 are both pretty terrible for single player, pretty barebones.

For single player? Try Soul Calibur 6 and Granblue Versus. They have long-ish single player RPG modes similar to World Tour. And maybe branch out into beat em ups like Streets of Rage.

Go for any Samurai Shodown first, really. They are the easiest to play, and you can have stylish fights without putting hours of effort.
They are a must have as much as they were 20 years ago. Plus, they are really great on every aspect.

Do you play 3rd strike?

Mostly play with my friend because of nostalgia.
I haven't played for a while, but I find online is still alive. Most of them are veterans, so your ass will be kicked a lot. Balance is not good, 95% of them are Yun or Chun-Li.
