Dealing With Bison Double Knee Press
I've yet to buy him or a season pass and you cannot train against a character you don't own so here are.

Double Knee Press, or scissor kick as it's colloquially known, seems very strong. Am I right in assuming I cannot mash my way out of it after blocking? Or are these Bisons just getting into my head? The match feels rough as a Manon player but I'm only platinum so I'm not exactly an authority.

its -5 on block but everything you press will miss because of pushback, don't know what a good solution to this move is

I play Juri and I don't really know what I can do after if I block it tbh. I've been playing against my Master rank friend as he's learning him, and if he spaces out scissor kick well it's pretty rough.

Ah, so it's the spacing I'm feeling then I suppose. I can swing after I block but he's too far to punish him.

I suppose I need to find a button that can stuff it as it comes in. I hope I have one.

True but I feel like it's a read. Or at least, I can't react to it.

This, there isn't a real solution to this move other than reading what bison does.

Its egregiously overturned and I don't know what crack the devs were smoking.

Even if you play top tiers there's not much you can do, your buttons just don't reach, Bison is designed to force you to block, it is what it is.
Clearly the DLC strategy is to release broken characters in order to make more money, so i can tell Terry Bogard will be an absolute beast.
it's a crossover character ofcourse they gonna be busted;they have to respect their collaborators(like akuma in tekken lol)

It needs less push back, if your not spacing it properly you should get punished. Right now its almost brain dead easy to space because for some reason it has a metric ass load of push back on block.

You can mash on block BUT. thats if hes not spacing it. If the he's far away and the heels hit you then you won't be able to reach him. BUT if he lands ontop you or in front of you you can punish.

The problem is, how easy it is to space because of the push back. Yea moves being safe when spaced is a thing and thats great. But when it has so much push back on block that basically anything other than super close range is essentially properly spaced its a problem. Like Bison already has the walk speed to play footsies to space it correctly, it doesn't need that kind of push back.

Stop walking backwards. Once he's uses the first one he can't use another unless your letting him.
edit: it's not super close. He has to be close to max distance to space it right. Otherwise he gets punished.

Its very very transparent you don't really understand how fighting games are played. I get you are a Bison player so you want him to stay stupidly strong but the consensus among most players is that hes over tuned atm. There is no arguing that scissor kick isn't currently too strong, there just isn't an argument you can make to justify it.

The problem with your logic of "Your letting him do it" is bison has other tools in his kit. You can't react to scissor kick so you have to preemptively call it out. If he does scissor kick and doesn't do a second one right away and you try and call it out he gets a free punish. Its such a nutty spacing trap tool and you can see top players abusing the ♥♥♥♥ out of it right now.

"he has to be close to max distance to space it right. Otherwise he gets punished."

Me when I make ♥♥♥♥ up because I'm a Bison player currently getting carried. Sorry dude this is just wrong lol, the move has a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of push back, its really easy to space. Most characters have a real hard time dealing with it and those that can punish it don't get much off that punish. The risk reward his heavily skewed in Bisons favor, worst comes to worst bison eats a low damage punish where his opponent has to burn a lot of resources to get. Best case scenario Bison just space trapped, placed a bomb and you now have to guess. Guess wrong and you eat a 50-70% combo. This move is bigoted, its -5, its fast, its not a charge motion, its the best spacing trap tool in the game, it has a stupid amount of pushback, and a decent amount of drive drain. Its getting nerfed and you need to accept that.

Listening to players like you is frustrating, because you know so little about fighting games your response to anything and everything is rattling off random ♥♥♥♥ like "you can do this so its not strong". Without understanding that interactions in fighting games boil down to more than just using a move to counter a move. You are not just dealing with Scissor Kick which by itself is stupidly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ strong and objectively so. But your dealing with Bison, someone who has great buttons, great walk speed, high damage punishes, good anti airs, projectile invuln on psycho crusher that also anti airs, amazing pressure, fantastic air buttons, and a less linear air approach in general.

The mental stack you have to deal with when fighting Bison makes an already strong move like Scissor Kick that would be a problem on most character, turn into the single best special in the entire game.

MC MuraFGC did a pretty good video about dealing with Bison. There might be something in here that could help.
