Recommendations for leverless pads.
I've been playing on controller for my entire life since the arcades died out but I wanna try leverless to see how that turns out for me. Anyone recommend any brands?

I saw a video from Sajam that said they were all basically the same outside of pricing and sizes/weight but I want more opinions on it. I'm eyening a "Junk Food" Micro LITE one right now because it looks small and easy to carry but also pretty good quality:
https://junkfoodarcades.com/products/micro-lite-pc-steam-deck-switch?variant=44412572991771

For some context, the reason I'm switching is I have some issues with my left arm/hand due to an old injury, tapping buttons will be a lot easier than having to flex my thumb. I noticed it became increasingly difficult playing specifically as Ryu with some of his combos and it got kinda painful. I'd also drop inputs a lot because rolling a DPad from back to forward to do a DP is pretty unreliable (or I'm bad, probably both).

If you think stick pads are better by all means also recommend some of those, the point is to not hurt my hand so a stick will do just fine as well. I just wanna see what works.

Can't recommend the Haute42 ones enough if it's your first leverless. Had no issues with my T13.

Should be mentioned with the Haute42 you need a converter like the Brook Wingman to play on PS5. Important to know if you plan to go to locals/tournaments that use PS5, and you need to make sure you update the firmware.

Yup, I saw that on the Sajam video I initially watched for recommendations.
If this gets me going to locals again I'll buy one.

Gotcha. I think I might get one myself at some point. The lower profile interests me.

guys stop genuinely interacting with this post. Nothing against leverless controllers but they are literally all the same, there is no difference. Buy whatever is available that you think looks cool and is at a comfortable price point

I have that snackbox micro - it's a nice device and well made. It may be a bit pricier than the Haute though.

I use Stick but that's because I've been using stick for the past 17 years and I just don't enjoy leverless.

But leverless is clearly better from an execution standpoint. If you're going to learn something new - do that IMO.

There's some differences that might actually be important for people.
For example on the hitbox ones with the little raised lip to the button it's easier to do like a slide SPD. Everyone's got a brand or opinion they wanna share, I don't see the problem.

I just got my Snackbox Micro in the mail today. Been having fun with it, my inputs are much cleaner, it's gonna be a learning curve especially with Jump on the bottom there but I can get used to it, it's gonna be a million times better on my hand too.

Now you gotta figure out some art for it.

I'm super indecisive so that'll be the hardest part lol.

I have a Kitsune and a Victrix Pro FS 12, my advice is to save the money. Yeah the Victrix is built out of Gundanium alloy or whatever, but it's also $300.

My Kitsune has Chun Li on it, but I also overpaid on that as it is not going for $300 and is not made out of Gundanium alloy.

Truth be told I'll probably looking into a Haute at some point because I want more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buttons. Not having throw bound to a macro is annoying. If I ever want something fancy I'll just learn how to build my own, will probably be just as "nice" as a Victrix, but only come in at like a 3rd of the price point.

I have bad news for you...

Tbh - depending on the parts you use, whether you have all the tools, etc, the 300 Victrix as a turnkey product is actually a decent price for what you get compared to a decent/ higher end custom stick.

Just a Brook board and a dwcwntly made metal enclosure is going to put you back at least $250. And that's not including pushbuttons, harnesses, USB cables, neutrix ports, artwork, etc.

The Bayonetta stick I have posted in my profile was $600 when I made it when SF5 released. Prices have gone up since then.
