It still worth buying Street Fighter 6?

Even if Tekken 8 is out, but I'm curious about this game and I'm still interessed. It still worth buying this game? The only thing I'm interessed about this game is World Tour. In fact this game is the only one who has an open world. But still too expensive and no discount yet...

Fighting games tend to be around for about a console generation (7 years give or take) and SF6 hasn't even been out for a full year yet. It's practically still new.

I wouldn't recommend spending upwards of $60 if World Tour is your ONLY point of interest though. It's a fun mode but it's really only there to serve as a lengthy tutorial for playing against people. Doesn't seem worth it if that's all you're going to be doing, imo.

What does Tekken 8 have to do with offline mode in Street Fighter 6?



For WT alone I'd say no because I thought it was horrible, but if you want to play online then yes, lots of people still playing and netcode is good.

There is a demo available in which you can play a little bit of the world tour. So just see for yourself.

We had a sale a few months ago. It wasn't even that bad (-34%). It seems to have come back around every month since november, so it should be right around the corner.

It comes down to what you like. I see a lot of hate about World Tour and the focus on avatars, I guess because those players just want the same old generic Mortal Kombat Tower style of single player that gets stale faster than a first timer's first romp in bed. Then we get to the 2d vs 3d debate, which I won't weigh in on, because it's fair enough to be just a matter of honest opinion. Bottom line is, if you're happy with 2D fighters, SF6 is worth the price. Even if you're not a fan of the RPG style of World Tour, the online pvp community is thriving. Drop the money and enjoy.

Since you're specifically interested in World Tour, it took me about 40 hours to get through the main quest line. It's very fun. You'll like it.
