Sf6 steam player count is impressive
I'm amaze that sf6 numbers are still at a constant 20k despite being a 1 year old fighting game. Normally the numbers would of drop to 1k if not 200 like strive,mk11,sfv and t7. I guess single player content makes a different. If only capcom could improve micro situation. I want more skins for the cast at a affordable price. By that i don't mean 12 skins for chun li n like two for ken like in sfv.

I don't know wat the numbers r for other platforms. Maybe they are similar.

Probably bigger, historically speaking fighting games have been the domain of consoles.
Either way, according to CatCammy's stats SF6 still has 1.4 million active players as of last month, so I'd say the game is in a very healthy state.

That sounds way too much. Unless CC took count whenever someone logged in, than it's possible. Of course that would deviate the stats a lot (some log in for 5 minutes and some for several hours).

Redbull Kumite here in Rome was hype and packed with people who love the game.

I don't recall many japanese people.

Evo sure seemed pretty popular in america too.

Seems like people just mostly like the game to me.

That's exactly what it is.
Ain't no way to estimate the concurrent player count without the platform % breakdowns.
Surprisingly, for T8 it was 53% are on PC.

Tekken 7 was at 5K players before 8 came out. SFV was at 3-5K players before 6 came out.

These are just popular franchises. It helps that SF6 had a really good launch and is a good game.

MK1 is only at around 1K players because it's a dumpster fire of a game. MK11 almost has more players today, which is just horrible for NetherRealm.

best netcode
most funded pro scene
more high profile players

it's a no brainer why sf6 won, it had a good launch and it works unlike Tekken 8 which has been a technical mess since day 1, never been more disappointed with Namco because Tekken 7 was good

Considering they use match data to get their results... that would imply that 1.4 million players have played at least one match in the last month. Those weekend warriors also count for something. After all, considering we still have 26% of the active ranked player base mucking around in Rookie, Iron and Bronze it does infer that we do have a sizeable casual audience still.

And before you say this is because of secondary characters, they only include each player's best character into the data. And besides, considering I can still get a match in under half a minute at 3am in Europe, a region that historically hasn't been big into fighting games, I can believe that we still have well over a million players active around the globe.

Yes. However, I think that data is very much inaccurate. Activity means to be present at least few times a week. I mean, I login like 2-3 time a month to collect drive tickets and play maybe one match online, but not playing the game.

I know Europe is big on Soulcalibur, less on other fighters. I'm in South East Europe, and regulary find matches. Even with SFV still found in a few minutes.

Don't know, this stats seems quite a bit inflated. If learning statistics taught me anything, it's that's not accurate.

Great casual appeal and good balance as well as the beautiful “capcom polish” would do that for you

I just wish the game dropped with at least 25 characters, I get why they didn’t for both profit and balance reasons but it gets annoying when I dislike fighting half the cast lol

Oh and actual costumes in game, capcom greed knows no bounds especially with only two colors being available if you bought the standard edition

Well if you do art, you'd know SF6 is really good in terms of gameplay & aesthetics
the game director did a great job for this generation of SF
The game is actually very good despite some minor balance flaws and personal experience. I been playing it since launch and, despite me having some gaming breaks i'm always back in this game cuz is very fun, looks great, runs great, there is always people online and new weekly tech found by pros for you main, also Cammy is hot af.
Jimelu 15/mai./2024 às 9:58
Chun-Li's legs, Cammy's cheeks and Juri brought in like 75% of the playerbase.
