... for the game's upcoming anniversary? I wanna get it, but I would hate to buy it now and then see it go down on sale a couple of weeks later or so.

Also, if I decide to buy the game, should I get regular version or one of those deluxe upgrades? I'm totally new to FGs, btw, never played one before.

Well you can upgrade to deluxe after buying the base game, they're called the year 1 character pass and ultimate pass respectively. But in general the pass is always cheaper than buying the four separately, but if you want to buy just one or two, getting them separately is the way to go.

I wonder if Capcom plans more than just 4 characters for SF6. And if yes, would ultimate edition include more than just year 1 releases?!

Mght be silly, but i dont trust off-steam stores like Humble bundle or whatever. Idk why, just don’t. So i’m solely wondering about sales on steam itself

Membership is for people who want to collect games, not play them.

what a weirdo thing to say, if you have a grandfathered account the price is set at 12 bucks for the full thing forever. I play alot of games, I mostly keep the membership because a constant 20% off most games is worth it ontop of the odd game i actually want out of choice (about 1 ever 2 months) is 100% worth 12 bucks a month lol.

Humble let me get this game for 20 bucks, and now i'm playing it, I wouldn't be playing it without the membership.

Imagine thinking 12 bucks a month for a constant 20% that stacks with sales and coupons not being worth it for people who actually play ALOT of games lmao, like how did you get so silly friend?

They are absolutely going to be adding more characters in the second year of the game, but no, they won't be retroactively be added to the Deluxe/Ultimate editions. I can say this with 99% certainty. There will however be more season passes so you can still save money by buying all four at once rather than buying them individually.

If you're in no hurry, wait out the anniversary, and if you're really in no hurry, wait out the Steam Summer Sale in July. If it doesn't happen by then the next big opportunity for a year 1 pass sale will probably be the winter sale at the end of the year.

I'm still not sure what's the point of Ultimate upgrade when Deluxe seems a lot more reasonable.
I hope there is anniversary sale, would be sweet since I would like to get some other games during summer sale.

LOL I'm not waiting till Xmas to buy SF6 when I have a whole line up for Yakuza games I wanna give a try :D
I'll see if there is anniversary sale. If not, I'll likely buy full price since I have possibly other plans for summer Sale. All that is a plan unless IRL gets in the way.

I'd get the Deluxe Edition. It comes with the season pass so you save $5. I wouldn't waste money on the ultimate, if there's a specific costume you really want just buy that. There's also mods for costumes, which are free and much sexier

You want to get the season pass so you have access to all the characters, so you can lab against them in training mode.
But if you're so short on money you're waiting for a sale for a game you want to buy, just get the normal version dude.

My advice, just buy the Deluxe Edition right now and suffer the consequences
