Why is Karin so unpopular?

I was hoping Capcom will bring her back in season 2, but that's not the case. I barely see anyone even asking for her. Who knows when will they bring her back considering there will be only 4 characters per season, and that two guest characters have slowed down the process.

I never stated their moveset was similar, I wasn't talking about gameplay. What I meant is that both Karin and Manon have that "posh" atittude, so Manon has that bit of "royalty" in her, just like Karin.

I hope Karin never returns, just so you don't get what you want.

She's super generic, unlikable, and uninteresting to watch/play. of the sf5 characters she is the most likely one to cause me to turn off a tournament I am watching.

I'd put her in like the D tier of street fighter characters, above Rufus tied with Adon and below even Hakan.

Yea because watching Ryu and Ken spamming the same 3 moves since over 3 decades that even people who never played a fighting game can block because it's so overplayed is very entertaining to watch.

Idk making 18th in that list is pretty high. She’s above a lot of series mainstays like Guile and Zangief and beat out highly requested characters like Rose, Guy, and Fei Long. I WISH she wasn’t popular in SFV but she had a decently sized player base

The popularity polls are often skewed by people that vote for characters they want to see get added to the latest game, rather than their actual favorites. Even taking that into account, Karin still looks to be pretty popular

I’d prefer plenty of other characters to come back before her, but she’s not unpopular by any stretch

Even their combo routes are way more interesting. After having watched a ton of punk playing I can't think of a single one of her moves do I don't know why you'd try and compare her to the most iconic moves in fighting game history personally.

Did a Karin player destroyed you in SF 5 or what? You can find far more threads online people hating Ryu and Ken, and as the previous dude said Karin was 21st out of the 46 characters.
