I really want to learn fighting game.. is SF6 a good entry?
Hows the future of this game? Playerbase? Or should I go for tekken or mortal kombat instead? Thanks

most stable playerbase is sf6;easiest to learn with is sf6 you get training room that show frame data and there's even combo trial for breadnbutter combo .For tekken every character there got like 130 moves with stances so i find that 1 hard ;also in sf6 it's 2 d so easier to block thing unlike tekken where you can get hit on the side

Definitely try SF6! It was my first fighting game that I started taking time to actually learn how to play properly and Modern controls really helped me with that journey. It gave me confidence to try other fighting games like Tekken and it's been a good journey. I just started learning the classic control scheme recently on cammy and it's been going well.

well if you are a begginer i recomend the modern control if you are good on fighting games so you can try the classic control

I have been bouncing off Fighting Games for years, and I found SF6 to be the most welcoming one, and already sunk more time into it that other fighting games combined.

1) Lengthy single player campaign which allows for familiarisation with controls and systems without getting your face pulverised by online opponents or arcade AI. It also introduces character movesets and systems step by step. If you pay attention and make sure to absorb lessons it tries to teach you, you will be much better equipped to understand online matches.

2) really robust training mode, and further assists, like combo trials for each character.

3) pretty good online play, matching you with other noobs as you begin. Throughout the last 200h hours I was able to reliably find players around my level as I climbed from iron (bottom of the chain) to mid platinum (the average rating).

4) Depending on how much you want to invest into it, there are two control schemes - modern simplifies controls and take out a lot of input fun so you can focus on game proper (spacing, footsies etc.)... Though, if you want to commit you can stick to classic control - with World Tour mode you should have plenty of time to get comfortable with command inputs before butting your head against other humans.

It's arguably the best modern fighting game for beginners. Balanced, strong playerbase with tons of newbies, and relatively forgiving combo execution. You'll still need a lot of patience and willpower, though.

Unlike others, I'd recommend, starting with the classic control scheme right away. Modern gives you access to autocombos and is a big help at lower ranks, but classic feels more satisfying to play, imho, and allows you to have full control over your character. If you're planning to stick with the game, you'll likely feel the need to switch to classic as you progress anyway, and it could be hard to develop your muscle memory from scratch after switching to a different control scheme.

MK is absolutely dead. Tekken is much easier execution wise but characters have a lot of moves, so its just a memory game with a lot of knowledge checks. Sadly tekken devs are idiots and tekken director is a man child that keeps crying over in twitter why he gets so much back lash. I love tekken but his game is beyond saving with devs like this. Also community is insufferable. Tekken 8 is notoriously scrubby and every monkey with half a brain can rank up if it plays specific characters. Also heat and rage mechanics are very boring and stupid. I played t7 for over 1000hours, but i just cant look at what they are doing with series anymore.

If you want good competitive fighting game with good support - there is no other choice but sf. If you want to just press buttons for a while - go for tekken.

Get into Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6, they are both great. Avoid Mortal Kombat like the plague, MK1 is the worst game of the three by a large margin. SF6 and T8 will be supported for a long time and are very healthy.

edit: typo
