Tbh it's kinda Capcoms fault. It's because of how the order of the characters are laid out on the reveal and the dates with them.

Bison- Summer 2024
Terry- Autum 2024
Elena - SPRING 2025
Mai - Winter 2025

In that order, it would suggest that Mai is going to release in like, November/December 2025.
