Thoughts on M. Bison's return and season 2 DLC?

So, as of me writing this, the trailer for the Season 2 lineup just dropped less than an hour ago. As those of us who saw what was in the secret Shadaloo lab in world tour predicted, M. Bison is returning, despite the fact that he supposedly was finished once and for all in SF5. Alongside him, Elena is making an appearance along with Mai from KOF and Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury.

Personally, I'm pretty hyped to see them all arrive, but to be honest I'm kinda disappointed that they're reviving Bison AGAIN instead of letting JP remain as the big bad evil guy of this game.

What are your thoughts?

I think that JP will still be THE BBEG, with Dictator just there as a more personal antagonist to Neo Shadaloo similar to how Akuma is to the Shotos.

I never thought they wouldn't bring back Bison, so that didn't surprise me, Mai and Terry definitely surprised me.

I am disappointed. With SF6 being set after SF3, I expected the likes of Urien or Gill being back - not Bison again. Or maybe someone entirely new related to JP. But looks like we can never escape the SF2 era..

Also salty because it turns out that my boy Charlie sacrificed himself for nothing. F*** you, Bison.

JP being the main pimp bad guy, they could have held off on Bison at least til season four or something. To soon to bring him in. These characters, by majority, did not want. And with two guest non-SF characters was too early too......ugh!

Oh man Terry Mai and Elena are some extreme trash picks. I don't think they could have chosen worse there.

M.bison is cool but there are cooler.

At least his empire's collapsed so he's now just alone.

Street Fighter ain't the same without Bison. I expected to see him, but not THAT soon. And I'm okay, when it comes to Elena.

Really salty about Mai and Terry, though. Instead of making good games SNK decides to tEaM uP with other franchises and release their garbage on them.

Honestly, yeah. The minute I saw the little Shadaloo Report in World Tour that said something along the lines of "Lord Bison has been spotted in Mexico and Nayshall," I literally groaned aloud.

Don't get me wrong; Bison is a classic antagonist and is great, but a major part of the story in this game is "well, Bison's dead. Now what?" That's literally Juri's entire storyline here. It kinda makes you feel like the entire story of 5 might as well have never happened.

What I'm hoping though is that there's some unique take on this; like, I dunno, maybe it's some crazed Shadaloo fanatic going around pretending to be Bison to revive the organization.

Totally love it, thrilled as it where.

Anyhow he can be in the game without being the focal point of the story, and I think thats how its going to be handled this time.
