Seriously though, DLC packs are absurd, and overpriced. As is the game itself.

Instead of Capcom and posse milking the game in every possible instance, it would be great if the game was made to be great.

Character packs for $25 and $40 ON SPECIAL or what not is absurd.

Over the past 30 years I have spent a ridiculous amount of cash on the SF franchise, generally rebuying the same game 2-3 times per cycle with the new features, super, ultra, etc.

This time, I refuse to buy any added extras.
Maybe I'll buy the complete edition when it's on sale for $20 in a couple of years, who knows.

Enough is enough.

Good game, but the cash grab is out of control.
This goes for many modern games, DLC is generally cancerous.
It is a vile practice to keep things out of the final release only to sell them as DLC in a full price package at a later stage and then claim "it's new content".

The preying on gamers is out of control.
Not to mention games like the Sims 3/4 with $500+ of DLC.
Something must be done about this price gouging practice of DLC garbage.

this is one of the things i actually agree with you, the dlc prices are steep and capcom legit wants you to buy more coins that you need if you just want to buy one character. Im honestly waiting till the first dlc pack drops price

I agree Open Post! I hadn't played this game for a while and came back to see the "Discount" that Steam had warned me about SF6! To my surprise, the promotion is that Capcom is selling 4 DLC characters for practically the same price as the Base game. In my case I just wanted the ED, but if you buy just one character, the value is the same price as the pass which comes with 4 characters LMAO!
In short, if you buy just 1 character outside of the character season pack, you will pay the same price as the base game for just 1 character ahahaha. If you buy the Pass, you will also pay the base game price for 4 characters. The greed of this company is TOTALLY insane! Remembering that these DLC characters were already in the base game and were removed to be sold as DLC.

When no one else play this game anymore, they will make the "SUPER SF 6" version, giving away the complete game for half price with all DLCs for free to attract new "PREYers", and whoever has now paid twice SF6 (Base game + 4 DLC characters) will being made a fool of, having paid twice for the game when new players will have everything at half price.

Desperate players who encourage these game companies to act like this just for simple desperation to play the game, create future problems for themselves, because if Capcom is successful in this game by acting like this, it will certainly do even worse in future titles. I do my part, I don't buy, I protest with my wallet.

It's kind of why i really don't do fighters anymore, i'm still wondering why i bothered even buying this one, they all suck with this season pass trash trend.

Normally, a smart person would just buy each character and ignore the ones they don't but they even "fixed" that by making you grossly over pay if you want just one character so you'll overall be spending more if you get some, but not all, with a scummy tactic, this is pretty much my last fighter as the only other fighting game series i liked won't be getting another game.

It's cheaper to buy a single character on Tekken 8, than the whole pack. So not every game does what you said they do.

Big SCAM. I just want Bison, how much do you have to spend to just get 1 Character at a time? I had season 1 pass which was a waste for me so I'm not sure what the single Character price is. Bison is my main and the only reason I am going to try and keep playing.

Sadly that's just the way it is. Its absurd overpricing but that's how they got us. Considering how much time we put into playing SF every year and to keep full filling our enjoyment, we just have to keep buying.
Fortunately for me. I don't buy more than 1 game a year so these will not break me.
I will be getting the Ultimate Edition and those additional drive tickets will help me get some of the first costume colors.

Of course not every game does, it, but capcom indeed does, bamco has been pretty decent about how they offer characters, you simply buy them directly. soul calibur did the same thing.

but capcom has been doing this "buy over or under" which is why their fighting game divison has little trust from me. They know exactly what they are doing, it's not a mistake, they want you to spend more than you need. That's why like i said, instead of like namco does it and you just buy the character outright, capcom has this "fighter coin amount needed" instead.

It's a shame to because capcom games in general haven't really been doing this greed tactic, but their fighting game section seems to be the most greedy.

I will do the exact same thing I did with season 1, completely ignore it until all 4 are out then buy it at a steep discount...if at all.

The roster sure is weak this season with only 2 SF characters.

SF6 is one of the best fighting games to come out in the last decade or two. But the monetization is absolute a$$
