Fight Pads
Hi! I've been trying alot of fight pads (switching over from my old TE Stick from SFIV days). I tried the more expensive ones like Hori etc, PS4 pad and so on. I have tried the 8bitDo M30 sega saturn clone pad which is really good, amazing D-Pad. A guy on YouTube recommended another one called Betop Thorn from AliExpress which I was sceptical about at first but tried it because its cheap. It is by far the best fight pad I tried out of all of these, and its much cheaper! Good face buttons, great D-Pad.

I barely see the m30 and betop thorn pad get mentioned above the grossly overpriced and under performing Hori and Victrix pads so, if you want to try a good pad that doesnt require you to take out a mortgage, give either of these two a try. Hope it helps! :)

Not sure about underperforming, my Fighting Commander 4 has been my trusty ally for the past eight years or so, although I do hear the newer models aren't as good.

I would love to try the Saturn clone pad as I first learned Street Fighter on the Saturn but as long as the FC4 still works I can't really justify it. I already have more practice with my leverless to get back to.

Forgive me, i insert myself into the conversation. I use the PS5 pad and it doesn't seem bad to me, but I can't compare it to the alternatives.

Could anyone give me some info about the Hori fightpad? ("under performing Hori and Victrix pads") if they are bad I would like to know before proceeding with a purchase.

Power A Fusion wired fightpad is a great Saturn clone pad. Great d-pad, durable, 6 face buttons and 4 *unique* shoulder buttons. Make sure you get the Xbox or PS4 variant though, not the Switch.

if you haven't try stick and hitbox. It might surprise you, and you might prefer them over pad even if you never used them before.

$39 Hori Fighting Commander with thousands of hours 10s of thousands of games still going strong.
Looked at M30 and wanted to try but the single shoulder buttons is a hard pass for me.

M30 is great and I feel like the word is spreading on it.

I still prefer stick but I use it if I'm feeling like a pad for whatever reason.
