Why is it an issue in this game and not tekken?

SF6 actually had the same amount of players as Tekken 8s all time peak today.
Because its a problem with SF6 matchmaking. They have allowed you to increase your search range with the patch so hopefully that helps.
Different games use different ports. Maybe you need to configure your firewall(s).
maybe? im not quite sure how to do that, do you know any good resources i can check out to figure it out?
thats what im thinking, but it doesnt make sense that it only affects sf6 and not tekken 8
