they wouldn't be able to do all the costumes for the characters which is extra revenue for the game, 3D makes it possible, if they used sprites they would have to make a models and animation for every costume that's why the old games are just color swaps
That said, ArcSys have proven with Granblue you can have the hyper cellshaded look -and- costumes all the same.
It'll be Darkstalkers, an adaptation of some extant property of Capcom's to the fighting genre (Megaman), or most likely, a Vs. Capcom game.
And again, "mainline", they could easily do something more on the cheap for experimental stuff.
The graphics and animations are great.The problem is that , almost all characters look like a final fantasy characters.
And you think that's a bad thing?
Not every one likes Final fantasy art style.I prefer Dragon ball cartoon animations , and old street fighter art style
Strive style is sick though.
