Did they nerfed Luke?

I'm having the feeling his damage has been reduced. And some of his moves are easier to whiff. He's still strong, but not the same as before.

No but conversions from lights do 10 percent less damage now. Maybe that’s why?

They nerfed Luke pretty hard yeah.

They didn't nerf him that much. He lost damage which was overtuned af, and some ridiculously priviledged buttons got hit like cr mp, cr hp and j hp. He's still a contender for top 5 and an easy top 10 for sure.

If he was overtuned and isn't now then he was still hit pretty hard by the nerf bat.

Do people realize that Akuma has a ton of plus on block buttons, Bnb's do the same or more damage than Luke's and his cr.mp is even more disjointed than Luke's pre patch?

All the people that hated season one Luke's cr.mp now are completely fine with the same stupid button just because it's Akuma and not Luke. huh...

Akumas isnt + on block, that already makes it drastically worse than Lukes was.

He went from being undoubtedly the best character in the game to one of the best. He’s fine

According to MenaRD and Diaphone, Luke has been overall buffed. Some nerfs here and there, but he is allegedly stronger now.

yeah but unlike luke akuma get two touch by marissa,1 if marissa had ult (compared to luke 3 touched)

i mean, that's like saying JP's disjointed normals were not that bad but looking at the disjointed hitbox, -1 on block that combos to itself, it's enough for me to say it's a completely unfair button but 50% of what Akuma does is safe anyway.

Maybe it's just better for me to skip this season, the changes to the general mechanics are good but the balance is even worse than season one.

There is more to balance than just a few disjointed normal's Akumas entire design is around privileged normal's at the expense of other things like health. Its too early to even say if hes good let alone unbalanced. We are a few days into an entirely new meta and you are jumping to wild conclusions based off a button thats worse than lukes old Cr.mp, which also combod into itself and gave Luke access to higher damage combo routes than akuma can get off his Cr.mp.

Most of the unexpectedly good results I've seen both in person and at combo breaker have been with Lily and shes not even a shoto.

As it stands in my experience Ryu is looking like the Shoto to beat and the season seems very well balanced at first impression.

Marisa can two touch akuma without supers actually but its pretty tight, he either needs to let you regen some drive gauge between the two combos or he needs to let you start one with a DI punish for the grey health.
