Beats In My Head missing from SF3 Music Bundle?
Thought it was awkward seeing that Beats in my Head was missing from the 3rd Strike soundtrack bundle, especially when Elena was my main from SF3. Was thinking of a crackpot theory that Elena was going to be Season 2 DLC until I saw Elena's theme from SF4 was in the SF4 soundtrack bundle. Just wondering why that track would be missing from the bundle in particular..

Other than that, I thought the bundles covered nearly all the songs for each game. Kinda curious if anyone else find other battle themes missing from the music bundles besides that one.

Elena's Theme from Ultra SF4 is slightly better than the 3rd strike version. Better production, better vocals. Probably the reason.

Ultra Sf4:

Time + production value + nothing else = better art?

This has got the same energy as that one time I saw a guy saying Castlevania Bloodlines was a better game than Castlevania 3 simply because the former was released on newer hardware.

When you wrote 'same energy' do you mean your "formula" or my comment? I am a bit confused. I get that you wanted to be snarky, but it does get a bit muddled for me.

Wtf were they thinking with this usf4 remix? Original is way better.
not really. the Ultra vocals are cleaner, and the beat is better.
Vocals are more clear, sure, but the beat is drastically worse.

Beat is about the same in both versions, so i disagree with you.

The "better" version is an entirely subjective concept though.
if you listen to both versions, the UltraSF4 version has better production value.
That too is a subjective quality. As is the notion of the beat being "better". The Third Strike version is routinely called a house classic, you don't really hear people shower that praise on the USFIV version, which I had honestly forgotten even existed until you brought it up. And if anything one can't ignore the power of nostalgic appeal. If nobody preferred the Third Strike version this topic wouldn't even have been made.

That by itself keeps the idea of the USFIV version being better debatable, and as such "The other version is better", not a satisfactory answer for its absence for people wanting the Third Strike one.

That said there's a jukebox mod so you can just help yourself to the classic version if Capcom won't

I meant both; you're saying that one song is better than the other because of technical reasons like compression on the vocals and sample clarity. You're treating it like a universal truth, despite "better" being based on taste.

Your comment, as it was written, falls neatly into that formula. Thus, I meant both.

yah, it's all subjective. nostalgia, that people prefer 3rd over Ultra, it's all subjective.

but that doesn't mean that my point, that Capcom "subjectively" chose the "subjectively" better version, is false.

again, subjectivity is real. Capcom chose the "subjectively" better version.

.... and?

By that logic Alpha 1 OST shouldn't exist because there's already Alpha 2.
thats not my logic. my logic is that Capcom chose to release the better made version of the song.
That makes 0 sense, considering it's from 2 different games

Subjectivity is real, but not universal. It is fluid, not absolute.

You can just say you got lucky and Capcom chose the version you like most. For the record the two most watched uploads of the Third Strike version on Youtube come up to almost a million views combined, the two most watched of the USFIV get beached at about 430k so if anything the original is the more popular version. But disregarding that, the argument still makes no sense considering there's how many versions of the themes of the World Warriors are available for purchase in the game right now? Storage isn't an issue, there isn't any reason to not add the Third Strike version. Especially when it's one a lot of people obviously want. It's not like the USFIV version would have to be removed to make room for the Third Strike one.

Also look up lo-fi, there's entire genres of music about compressed audio and deliberately using cruder means of recording and mixing, just because it sounds clearer over your $200 Sennheisers doesn't mean the general public will like it more. Music remains more art than science.
FaytxFate 31 MAY 2024 a las 1:22 p. m.
Really, I'd want both the SF3 version and SF4 version for completionist's sake. Which one is the "superior" one if irrelevant to me. I just want to have a complete collection, or something that is really close to it. I know drive tickets can be farmed over time, but some of us don't play the MP grind as often as others who play the game more regularly. So I kinda feel bad for those who spend fighter coins for the soundtrack and get slightly shafted when they least expect it.

After learning that Elena's making it into S2 DLC, this missing track now makes sense. The SF3 ver. of Beats in my Head is probably going to be on her fighters pass before she drops.
