And regrettably Third Strike's composer does not use social media as far as I can tell so asking him directly is also out of the question (if he'd even recall after 25 years).
Which leads me to think it's either an old fashioned oversight or they're indeed keeping it for some future update of some description.

By that logic Alpha 1 OST shouldn't exist because there's already Alpha 2.
It's not a reason dude.
Alpha 2 is "better" version of Alpha 1 soundtrack, so why would they release that too and not give Elena same treatment?
And hell if they really were aiming for the better versions they'd use clean soundtrack from console ports instead of arcade ones.
Vocals aside they're barely alike, meanwhile there's several versions of the same theme songs for other characters for sale.
Kinda does seem like a hint that she would be coming later. I'm just glad I was able to buy all 3 of Dudley's themes.
