That's why you see most "new challengers" throw the match when you run into them.
That day I was really disappointed on this subject.
this sucks because my cammy is diamond but the rest are ryu in plat 3, zangief in plat 1, ed in gold 3-4 and marisa in gold 2-3
the ppl you compare yourself w/ probably have 4 or 14 years in the game/genre lol don't feel bad
Learn how to anti-air, and play in neutral and you should be comfortably plat with any character. I was stuck in plat for ages because I was just mindlessly grinding, and once I watched some YT vids I was master in no time,
It wasn't a bad thing though, I think I improved a lot faster playing against better players even though I was losing a lot.
Anyway, I can't stop playing. I was curious on why that placement happened but now I see it's common.
Here are some tips you can use to see improvements right away
1. Lower your graphics settings.
- 1920x1080
- AA off
- Bloom off
- sub surface scattering off
- Motion blur off
- vsync off
- internal resolution 1 to 4 max
- shadows low to normal
- lighting normal
- mesh normal
- textures normal
- sampling normal
etc.....
2. go to battle hub and play against master rank players. you will get your butt whooped but after a few hours a day doing this, plat ranked will seem much easier. Do not play casual matches, this is because battle hub is way better. in battle hub, play first to 10 sets.
3. if you get tilted stop right away(VERY IMPORTANT!), do not continue to another ranked match. Instead play an extreme battle, go to practice mod, battle hub, exit the game and come back after an hour.
But isnt Diamond 1 the maximum when you do your first 10 matchs ?
And np bro its OK to loose, you can learn more with losses than wins.
The game is more about learning and trying to do less and less mistakes than winning and do shinny stylish moves/combo.
I know it can be harsh to chain loose but if it hurt your feelings try to be more chill about it, more analytic and play smaller session to not let the salt taking you.
