Stop placing me in Diamond 4!!!
I just got Akuma and I’m pretty sure I’m plat 3 at best. I have a hard with conversions, my anti air sucks. And I always messed up my fire ball with DP input and same for supers.

Once I’m placed I lose all the way to Platinum nonstop. This isn’t fun Capcom! Fix how you get placed in ranked

Ranks in this game mean less than nothing until you get to a higher master rate so don't sweat it too much. My Honda is master and I only headbutted and slammed (as a joke). use your matches to focus on improving your flaws and the wins follow more naturally.

You have to lose all 10 placement matches or you get your noobie time stolen. It's a pretty stupid system.

That's why you see most "new challengers" throw the match when you run into them.

Capcom has implemented a new system, if you have a character in Master, all your other characters will systematically be placed in Diamond, this is to avoid smurf.

400 hours. I'm still absolute trash, Silver overall. One character Gold. Got into Platinum 2 after a 6/10 qualifying on Rashid.
That day I was really disappointed on this subject.

If it makes you feel better D4s are pretty trash.

fighting game hours carry over hard from previous games so don't feel bad. a lot of players have experience.

Fundamentals are a near universal quality between fighting games so don't be surprised that some players who've been consistently playing Street Fighter for the past 20+ years get further in 50 hours than people brand new to the franchise get in 200 hours (not to mention everyone learning at different speeds). The important part is that you're improving, no matter how fast or slow, as long as you're a better SF6 player than you were last month you're doing okay.

Learn how to anti-air, and play in neutral and you should be comfortably plat with any character. I was stuck in plat for ages because I was just mindlessly grinding, and once I watched some YT vids I was master in no time,

I have 3 characters in plat 5, but it placed me in diamond 3 with Akuma. Lost until I hit diamond 1 and now it's stabilised.

It wasn't a bad thing though, I think I improved a lot faster playing against better players even though I was losing a lot.

Same? Plat 3 player. The game put me Diamond 2 with AKI. Road to 200 defeat lol

Thanks for the nice replies. I watch a lot of high level matches, I take a look on every competition and follow great players on CFN and YT, but I don't see much personal progress really.
Anyway, I can't stop playing. I was curious on why that placement happened but now I see it's common.

Here are some tips you can use to see improvements right away

1. Lower your graphics settings.
- 1920x1080
- AA off
- Bloom off
- sub surface scattering off
- Motion blur off
- vsync off
- internal resolution 1 to 4 max
- shadows low to normal
- lighting normal
- mesh normal
- textures normal
- sampling normal
etc.....

2. go to battle hub and play against master rank players. you will get your butt whooped but after a few hours a day doing this, plat ranked will seem much easier. Do not play casual matches, this is because battle hub is way better. in battle hub, play first to 10 sets.

3. if you get tilted stop right away(VERY IMPORTANT!), do not continue to another ranked match. Instead play an extreme battle, go to practice mod, battle hub, exit the game and come back after an hour.

But isnt Diamond 1 the maximum when you do your first 10 matchs ?

And np bro its OK to loose, you can learn more with losses than wins.
The game is more about learning and trying to do less and less mistakes than winning and do shinny stylish moves/combo.

I know it can be harsh to chain loose but if it hurt your feelings try to be more chill about it, more analytic and play smaller session to not let the salt taking you.
