Ex Akuma color?

I've returned to this game, should I just farm NPC Akuma to get this?

Yeah, just do the center circle avatar akuma until you cap out, then try to win or cheese arcade machine akuma on the cabinets surrounding him. he is harder but that's more fast points when you get it down. Or just wait a day and repeat the middle when it refreshes, idk how long the event is.

Make sure your avatar level is high enough.
Mine is lvl 78 and i am also decent at the game and have not lost to Avatar battle Shin Akuma yet.
I do get my ass handed vs CPU 8 Shin Akuma thou.

Download a macro reader (I use Macro Recorder)

Get it to press the keys "J", "F" and "ESC" repeatedly, and activate it indefinitely

Let your Avatar fight Akuma with the macro until you stop getting Fight Points (around 130 losses)

Then get into a cabinet and let Akuma fight Akuma until you stop getting Fight Points

After around 2 hours recieve every single award from the event

That is against the TOS. As an alternative....get any controller with a turbo button, activate the turbo button and lay down your keys on it.

It seems you can earn up to 40k point per day by fighting NPC.

I found it easiest to win in avatar battle against Akuma - a fully buffed avatar, can take far more punishment than a normal character. Didn't loose a single battle and each suiccesful win grants 4k. So do 10 of those, and than some on the next day, and the event pass will be complete. Shouldn't take long.

yeah. surprisingly shin akuma is able to be broken. what i did was simple: be at level 100, equip accessories that boosted my strikes, be on modern controls, and use akumas movesetl. then i found my h combo has great reach, so i just basically did that over and over. the ai did NOT know how to respond.
beating him up gives you 4000 points, but you can only do it so many times before the game tells you you cant anymore. i got to level 20 (which is past the ex color btw) before this happens, so about 2 days you can max out the event pass no problem. hope this helps.

I unlocked the skin in 2 days.
You just beat him 10 times whit avatar day one and then another 10 times day 2.
TO be fair i was lvl 76 and had 40 or s hours in world tour.
Feels like capcom wants to reward people who-played world tour by making the event easier to complete for them.

If you never touched world tour then just using battle hub and playing games in it also works. You can play regular pvp play vs akuma or even play the arcade games.

you have til the 31st. you also need to have made progress in lukes, manon, and jps mentorship (jp meaning you have to have completed the story. sorry) for their moves (lukes flash knuckle, manons manege dore, and jps stribog), go behind the SIRN building and look for the poster. this will help you start
