Why is there still no battle damage for online play?
Stages/music/outfits can be customized on the client's side so why is battle damage still not available to see when I play online?? I hope this comes in the next patch.

Because the current fighting community sucks! Players can't support each other! I made this topic a few times and showed other issues. But got a lot of hate from gamers without reason and minimum support.

It most likely will never be released as it would up the requirements for both clients or create a potential desync and the PS4 is barely able to run sf6 as is.

Desync? Do you think people have syncing issues when you use a different skin? lol?

I always just kinda presumed it has to be some technical reason that Capcom has no obligation to explain to us. It's in the grand scheme of things a pretty trivial detail so its absence isn't exactly ruining the game for me.

Def doesn't ruin the game for me, it's a weird gripe of mine tho. I think the game looks a touch uglier without it

I'm honestly the opposite hah, after 25+ years of battle damage not being a thing in Streets™ it honestly feels a little weird to suddenly see Ryu and the gang get bruised and dirtied in offline matches.

But for you I'll hope they'll make it a toggle in the future, but it doesn't seem to be a high priority for Capcom right now.

I think increasing system requirements on a game already pushing the limits of underpowered hardware very obviously creates more opportunities for desync.

But I'm sure you do a ton of development right? That sarcastic tone and complete misunderstanding of the thing being discussed really shows you understand the potential problems at hand.

Don't get so defensive because I pointed out how silly your point was.

Well I do quite a lot of development personally and I can tell you upping the system requirements of anything that's already redlining is a bad idea

And it's more than likely to cause at least a little desynchronization now and again. Especially with CPU intensive rollback Netcode on an ancient jaguar CPU.

But hey, you someone with no meaningful technical knowledge thinks it's silly so what do I know.

Well I haven't used reddit in quite a bit so smell that however you like.

Man came in and said something dumb in a rude manner. That is annoying.

I don't like it myself but it is quite strange that they put all that effort into developing it and then don't let people enable it online for themselves.

If ps4 theoretically can’t handle that (hard to believe but let assume it’s true) then why they don’t give such option locally for ps5 and PC players? It really doesn’t make sense.

Platform uniformity, and whats hard to believe about it? the ps4 was gutter tier when it launched and that was a very long time ago.

The CPU powering its from 11 years ago and was pretty low end when it launched, they also have a low clock rate of that CPU. Low end tech with more than a decade of age on it doesn't perform well for modern games.

Crossplay is optional, almost everything can be customized on the client's side. This really should be an option to toggle on consoles that handle it
