Just had a plat5 scrub in bhub hit every possible 1 frame advantage hit confirm into full combo. This is why I stopped playing. Fighting games all have a Modern mode now and yet there are still degenerates out there who do this. The rise in hacking in all online games is going to kill online gaming in general. I expect this in shooters.. not fighting games. Christ

This game is trash. The extreme difference in players in Plat is a joke. I can literally beat Plat 3 players with just a round house or standing fierce (anti air). Then I magically run into a plat 1 or 2 who perfect 1 frames DI counters, Perfect parries every move, can break any throw, or do insane block strings into frame perfect grabs and or command throws. There is 100% something fishy going on. Most of these players I run into that are just Master tier players but in PLat are from Mexico. I've never in my 20 years come across such an extreme difference in skill levels in a singular rank. This is outside the obvious smurf players in SF5 who would sit in Casual Bronze/silver all day destroying people.

This. I have a Plat Marisa. I don't claim to be the best, I struggle in gold sometimes, but when I lose, I know why, and generally learn from things. I can feel when people fight. Sure, they do a lot of similar stuff, but they react differently, and adapt. Modern controls give an advantage, and I'm not fond of them, but they're not the issue. Most of the cheaters I have fought in plat don't use modern. There's a lot of other issues that I need to work on, but when you struggle for like two days to get to Plat 2, and lose it inside of an hour because everyone is a single name, default title/color in like plat 1 who counters everything you do with such precision, and repeats the same two combos, you realize how bad it is. I'll lose to people all day, but this is different, and it is a problem.
