Battlehub full of Masters
Masters who like to sit down against Iron or Silver players or players who have 20% win ratio.

I thought I read in the news that you end in battlehubs determined on your rank?

But it is productive to frustrate beginners instead of searching for an opponent on the same skill level? Additionally you cant say its a good mechanic that I am not able to decline masters and trash connections when I am sitting down first on the Arcade Cabinet.
Masters in battlehub ALWAYS sit down on low skill opponents to fulfill their daily/weekly goals and giving themselve a good time by frustrating beginners. Not much testosteron involved.

Battle hub is suppose to mimic an arcade, where you would have no clue how good your oppenent is until you actually play them, if you want match making you gotta play ranked or casuals. Also, who actually checks peoples profiles before playing them. I get this all the time in the hub, all I do is just check if a seat is open and if the connection is good, then if I end up playing someone who isn't at my skill level, I will let them decide if they want to rematch. It's not the difficult lol
All I check for before sitting in a cab is the connection. Nothing else. Plenty of ways you can avoid master players if you feel strongly about it

As Gleap said, prepare for more master players popping up because earning it is a relatively easy task in this game

Cool, I just might visit that hub.

... for ten percent of the player base*

Why do people always say this when such a small percentage is in masters?

It's clearly not easy for the majority lol

10% over a very short tine frame. By comparison SFV was a bit less that 2% in Master over almost 7 years. I see 6 reaching as high as 25-30% Master as the years roll by. 6 clearly is designed to overinflate ranking so people always feel they are ranking up. Whether this is good or bad is a matter of perspective

10% of 2.5 million is 250,000 people and that numbers going up by the minute.

It's also the people who generally make up more or the hours played.

There's going to be a lot of them. It might not be easy to hit master, but in comparable games it's usually harder to hit comparable ranks.

What happens instead is that ballless master players sitting on my arcade with 70% winratio and I am frustrated and logging off. Its as stupid as the guys sitting down on your arcade with a trash connection. When I sit down first on the arcade I cant decline this digital nonsense.

casual is fill with plat and higher no way imma get tryharded

You can go into beginner or intermediate battlehub servers.

Don't auto join, instead, hit choose server, then pick you region then scroll down to the bottom.

Yellow icon (41-50ish) are beginner, red and white icon (31-40ish) are intermediate. Pick the one that's most populated that will let you join.

This isn't some flex. Ranked favors the player heavily. If you're regularly playing in ranked, you're most likely going to be moving up, no matter how slow it is. Unless your winrate is just that low, you're virtually always gonna earn more points than you'll lose

It's an inevitable part of every FG that the highest rank will become more populated over time. The only difference is how quickly that number rises. SF6's master rank is definitely filling up faster than most other equivalents in other games. The population and skill difference in master is big enough that it literally has its own ranking system within it

SoulReaperAxel wants to win without trying hard.

Sounds like he wants to be a Smurf or beat up on people much, much worse than him.

Sounds like a jerk move to me.

It's not as straight forward as just playing, Yeah you can do it with a win rate of 40% but it will take like 10000000 games lol And not to mention, as you rank up, you will have to adjust to the higher ranks, so you do have to improve to rank up. I mean it may be easier then SFV but this is a different game so that comparison doesn't really work. I'm not even saying it is super hard to get there, but "hard" is subjective, and if it's at 10% now that means it's at 10% which means the majority is not in master. Of course as the game goes on more people will get there, but until it's over 50% of the playerbase in master I think we can all agree it's not "easy" for the average player to get there. Do the math of what it would take to get to master with a 40% win rate, it's not quick lol A 40% win rate in gold is different then a 40% win rate in Diamond. If you are in gold with a 40% win rate, please tell me how long it would take to just "grind" to master
PatrickBateman Dec 28, 2023 @ 11:33am
PS. how many people are playing SF6 vs how many were playing SFV .... it all factors in

You're not incorrect which is why I had "relatively" in my original post. Obviously there's gonna be some struggle. It is relatively easier compared to other ranked systems. It will take work but the point system favoring you eases that

My point is that if OP hates running into master players in battle hub, he has to either play ranked or learn to deal with it. Because there's always gonna be master players that pop up in there
