Having MUCH more fun without the SF6 BGM!

The BGM in this game is terrible; whoever compiled it needs to never work in the gaming industry or music industry again.
Absurd.

That said, I just realised I can mute the BGM and/or play my own backing tracks.
I am currently using the Terranigma OST from the SNES classic found on Youtube and the game is much more enjoyable.
Anyhow, good times ahead.

I would like to mention I generally have no issue with the BGM of other games in the SF series, but this particular BGM "soundtrack" within SF6 absolutely sucks in my opinion.

To me it's okay, not too many bangers, but not too many stinkers either.


In fact I think I only really dislike Kimberly's theme, the rest are either fine or good. Not that it matters to me because I have Fete Foraine play on repeat 24/7 whenever I play the game.

Every song in this game is A1. I can't even think of one I actually dislike. Aside from the OG 2D games, the one and only good song until SF6 came out was Guile's theme in SF5. I just wish they would actually say who made the music for this game instead of just having them hide behind their in-house band name CapJams or whatever it is.

Eh, that might just be a sign you've grown old. I'd agree it might not be a series best OST, but I don't really dislike any of the songs either. Sure I can complain that Chun-Li's theme front loads its best bits into the opening 20 seconds before just kind of becoming background noise, but it's also not actively unpleasant to listen to. (The title makes no sense for a woman past 30 in-story though)

personally, i think every character track is fantastic and memorable. The menu music, the battle hub, all the hiphop/rap tracks, are superb. this is my favorite SF OST.

I was surprised at first, but now I think it's just goofy fun. Life is too short to be taken seriously.

Terranigma is not appropriate though.

Terranigma is cool but that's a pretty wrong soundtrack to fight to. Whatever helps you focus I guess. Though if you're serious about the game and want to compete, it might be weird to be unable to listen to the song you want and also game sound effects.

If I was messing with music, probably something more like megaman.

If you say so. The cringe rap in this game is awful and kills my vibe. Don't know why anyone acts like it's wrong for music to have negative effects on someone. It has positive effects and of course the opposite can happen too.

If you went to the SF2 character select and some dumbass started rapping about how tough and hard he is, that wouldn't be out of place and feel weird??

Isn't he rapping about how weak and vulnerable he is? The lyrics seem to be him ceding the power to characterize him to others and declaring that he is subservient to institutions.

Gen's theme in Alpha 2 is sick, and pretty much every character's stage in SF2 is iconic and easily recognizable. That's a hot ♥♥♥♥ garbage hold your horses there cowboy take
