Single player is trash.

Sssshhhh.

Let people enjoy things.

Seriously why buy a fighter to play single player? The main purpose and focus of fighting games is multiplayer.

Yes. I bought this game for the multiplayer but when I loaded up World Tour, I was expecting a typical ladder style or basic matches back-to-back, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it's a whole RPG game basically. Lots of sidequests and stuff to do as well. It is similar to MK Shaolin Monks but better.

Then, whenever you do decide to go online, you can bring your avatar to fight other avatars in the battle hub. You also do have a typical singleplayer ladder mode in the arcade where you can unlock concept art and stuff.

World Tour is a full on rpg mode that also teaches how to play.
Arcade modes are here as well as character specific trials split into difficulties, character specific tutorials, combat tutorials, a huge training mode, offline vs/team battle. I'd want a survival mode too and something else. But you really have to try it yourself.

Single player content is great, but I wouldn't miss on the chance of beating people up online. This game is easy to learn and play.

This game has the most single player content of a modern fighting game. If it's worth it to people who primarily play online is a different conversation.

If you've enjoyed other fighting games offline then you will very much enjoy this one offline. The single player content is big.

I would say yes. I actually enjoy world tour a lot. :amadeus_happy:

I will buck the trend of saying no and say it is worth it pending a caveat. If you have gotten fighting games in the past and don't play online then it's one of the better single player but truly authentic high tier fighting games. I definitely pick and choose my online games as I am older and will use as much offline content as i can. I'm not bad at all in fighting games but I can't always delve into them enough to be competent online. I found SF 6 to be very fun online but also in training modes and for awhile in the single player quest. I think people don't realize how many people played fighting games at one point in their lives and just like to grab them but maybe just jump on single player and practice mode and use it sort of like a meditative experience. Practice mode gets most of my playtime in both MK1 and SF6 but I don't spend that much time online anymore given other commitments. Fighting games are definitely the most sweaty online overall along with FPS so I found SF6 to be a very feature complete game. Again, that's if you normally buy fighting games and are used to the lack of content overall. In essence you have to be a pretty big fighting game fan and for whatever reason, likely just don't play that game competitively.

I think older Soulcalibur games have pretty nice single player.
Soul Calibur III. Chronicles of the Sword. I was very impressed with that game mode.

Unpopular opinon, but I say definitely yes! I just can't understand, why some people wants to talk people out of buying fighting games for single player! I mean I played Tekken 7 just for single player, and I know that game has few solo content, but I really enjoy it.
Fighting games are not just for competitive stuff, you can play also for story, characters and the beautiful graphics!
Street Fighter 6 has lots of single player content, an open area mode called World Tour (with character creation), character story and arcade mode, VS CPU, training and trials.
To be honest, when I play online, I just can't enjoy the game, it almost ruined it for me. When I play VS CPU, I can enjoy the scenery, the characters, the graphics and the music.
So TLDR: Yes, it's definitely worth it.

If you compare it to MK1 yes it is. Granblue might be a better option but I can't say since I haven't tried single player modes yet but if you enjoy World Tour it's probably the best single player mode in any fighting game out there.
