About "Opponent Outfit Settings"
What's the point? One of the main reasons people buy costumes is to show them off. With this feature, it's not different from installing a mod, which honestly, considering how expensive the new costumes are, is the far better option.

It makes it so I don't have to look at Blanka chan. Therefore it's inarguably good

nobody cares about your costumes lil bro, also most people are not gonna turn them off anyway unless is something obnoxious

This.

It has to do with the Blanka-chan outfit, but don't quote me on that.

I only really use it for costumes that mess with silhouettes (Blanka-chan), or are too distracting visually (Dee Jay)

It's so you can buy all of the outfit 3 costumes and see every opponent always wearing them.
Opponent doesn't want to buy it for whatever reason? Too bad, now they're in it anyway.

most important is battle damage appearance which Capcom fails to do so for online matches
Because no one cares about you. This is a 1v1 pvp game. Stop being Socrates.

Literally the only character I have it enabled on.
♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥ costume ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
You already know mods exist, so why aren't you complaining about mods? People can mod your Outfit 3 away so you don't look how you want, why is it only a problem when it's officially implemented?

100%. Blanka-chan makes it more difficult to see what he's doing. He's the only costume most people are going to be disabling.

I'm using mods little dude, so I don't really care about the costumes myself. I just find it a weird business decision

The only weird business decision is not banning you for using mods despite them charging for costumes.

It exists for consistency's sake. Certain outfits could obscure hurtboxes. Super-serious players would consider it optimal to use that feature to reduce confusion.

lol... So, Capcom are now offering effective first-person shooter skins for their fighting games -- i.e., near-pointless add-ons! 😂

To be fair, a skin really is for oneself, and players can still mod skins on their end, in order to override whatever the opponent is sporting. For example, I put that "muscle mod" on Marissa, that makes 'her' look like a Snythol junkie, because the character is obviously a joke to begin with and, so, why not play on the idea that Capcom started? Therefore, even if someone is using whatever Marissa skin on their end (assuming the same csotume slots are used), I'm seeing some bipedal condom full of walnuts on my end.

In other words, there is no guarantee that others are seeing the oftentimes cringe-worthy Capcom "party" skins you've wasted money on, irrespective of the in-game settings (which you should count as a blessing in disguise). That is, unless the opponent does not have a DLC skin... In which case, I don't think that a mod for a DLC one does not own would install / apply... Depends on if the slot / skins are already downloaded and applied, only locked out... But, I could be wrong.

This... A feature that Art of Fighting (1991) had.
