Wait for some event that offers coins as a reward. I think there was a Chipotle event during Evo where you could win coins by eating at Chipotle. Stuff like that. Otherwise, you gotta pay.

How do you eat at Chipotle for free?

Pre-ordering was your first mistake. like, in general you shouldn't give money to any devs like that. but that's my view.
not reading what each version contained was the second mistake.
assuming that a company like Capcom wouldn't try to nickle and dime you was the third one.

I'm so glad I got only the base game. 1 season DLC chars are of no interest to me, and the Ultimate edition is a blatant scam not worth its money.

i got the Ultimate edition, and i'm very happy with my purchase. i don't post comments about how the base version is a scam, so why are you? buy your game and move on.

It wasn't a scam when you bought it because everyone assumed the same thing, that you can buy costumes with Drive Tickets like how Fight Money worked in SF5. Now that they've shown Drive Tickets are literally worthless it is indeed a scam. Don't worry, I fell for it too.

Then they don't give you the code, that's on your receipt.

That's when you ask to see their manager.

Go in to the Chipotle and order your food, then when it comes time to pay act all flustered about how you forgot your wallet and start apologizing saying you'll just leave and hope someone walks up and comps your meal for you. If it doesn't work go back in like 20 minutes later so the employees recognize you and immediately know what you're doing.

I didn't assume that you could purchase costumes with Drive Tickets when I got the Ultimate Edition. I knew Capcom was going to have Fighter Coins and Drive Tickets, and only one currency would be used for Outfits and Characters. People should just buy their game and move on and not insult everyone when they're unhappy with their purchase.

I didn't know what Drive Tickets were when I bought the game so I just disregarded them, saw that the Ultimate Edition was basically asking me $20 for 4 costumes that I don't know what they look like, and got the Deluxe Edition.

If anyone did anything else, that's on them. They chose to assume that Drive Tickets are super valuable and prefer spending $105 over reading the reviews or doing research, or they chose to blindly purchase it without even reading what they're purchasing, or they chose to assume that the skins will be available for free based on nothing, or whatever other reason they had for spending however much they did and expecting more than what was advertised.

If someone got Deluxe and still wants the Outfit 3s for all the DLC characters, that's only going to be $4 wasted. $24 spent instead of $20.

No, the person i'm replying to claims that the people who bought the Ultimate Edition were assuming something about Drive Tickets. And that's a false claim. People bought the Ultimate Edition because they wanted the Ultimate Edition of SF6, and not because they assumed something about the contents.

I wanted all the extra stuff that came with the Ultimate Edition, the 4 DLC characters, their costumes, etc. I read the contents, I made no assumptions.

The person was trying to say that Capcom lied, or that people were misled when buying the Ultimate Edition and that's just wrong, and frankly, reeks of copium. People should buy their game and move on, and not say that people who got one edition or another were scammed.
