Really, I don't understand people that say that a character is "needed".

Certainly someone who fights like him will be added eventually. Him or a new character who knows, and season 2 or 20 is also unknown.

We have never had a mainline street fighter without a boxer though by the end so there will be one.

Tbh I wouldn't mind seeing a new face for a boxer, though I feel like Ed is gonna take a role of one in this game unless they add another one later.

Then again, parry ff and everyone has dash straight/low.

Actually both of my fathers work for Capcom, one is X-Kira, and he told me in this very reliable very true leak about Balrog:

"there once was a man from Peru
whose gloves were red and shirt was blue
but to keep him unique this man punched with his feet
and the gloves? he wore them like shoes."

SO: Season 2 will have Balrog doing a handstand, and this is the most reliable information you're going to find.

Strong agree, Balrog doesn't even make referential sense now that Mike Tyson hasn't been a big name in a long while. He was always just a reference and he's had a hard time getting any characterization outside of that.
