If you were to get SF6, I would give both control schemes a try and figure out what path to take. I have a Gold 1 Ken and a Plat 2 Zangief.
There are some people around these forums that will talk trash on people who use the Modern control scheme, calling it a ‘cheat’ or ‘baby mode for people who are teribad’. Don’t let other people’s complaints color your views.
For SF6 though, your rank is tied to whichever character you’re using at the moment. Like, you could have a Silver 2 Ken and a Gold 4 Ryu. Plus, you get 10 placement ranked matches before your initial rank is decided.
In short, play for less than 2 hours and get a refund if you don’t like it.
SF6 is going to be around for a while like SF5 and SF4 were, and Street Fighter games are usually very good at keeping a playable population.
It's up to aesthetic there. Do you want hyper-violence or spraypaint and hip-hop
I see mortal Kombat 1 it sux like 3/10 to me, mortal kombat 11 9/10
mk1 - every character is basically the same with different skin and move sets; impact of each hit is basically the same, very robotic
just my opinion before any mk fans go coocoo for coocoo poops
I also asked myself the question of SF6 or MK1. Yesterday I decided on SF6.
1. I'm looking forward to being able to play old friends again.
2. The nice family-friendly basic atmosphere - no blood or killing scenes.
3. Modern controls - I only play for fun and I'm happy when I can play more relaxed in my old age without dislocating my thumb.
4. If I ever play online, SF6 probably has a very good netcode and crossplay - so if I need to, I'll definitely find enough players who are just as bad as me.
SFVI is more grounded while still being kinda crazy at times.
SF is probably less frustrating to play overall and more beginner friendly.
Id argue it also has better SP content than MK1.

(I don't know if this specific one got fixed or not but I keep seeing people post similar clips even now)
