Rental Tickets Are Extra Useless Now!
Punished again for buying the not so "Ultimate" edition. I'm maxed out on character rental tickets so there's less benefit for me from the free part of the battle pass. They'd only be good for Season 2 at this point but now it seems that they'll likely be good for nothing as I won't be able to accumulate a useful amount of them. Thanks Capcom!

At most this would have allowed me to put off the purchase of the next season for a couple days. Why be like this? This is at worst an small extremely short term financial delay to you and in exchange, assuming that I'm not completely discouraged from future purchases, it just gets you a lot of a lot or resentment for every future release.

If you'd like to make it up to me it will only cost you 138600 Drive Tickets and 900 Fighter Coins. Feel free to round that up to 150000 and 1000 for everyone who purchased the "Ultimate" edition. I believe that would help it to live up to its name.

Bro ultimate gave 7,700 drive tickets. Which turns out to be worth 1 single useless avatar costume or 1 characters colors

Somehow being named "Ultimate" I expected at least all the launch colors for costumes 1 and 2...

Not gonna lie... I feel so stupid for buying the Ultimate Edition. The only good thing I got out of it was Chun-Li's red costume since she's my main.

I also hate that your information is stored locally. Even your avatar and how much time you spend in World Tour - Ranked - Casual. It just looks weird to me seeing 0 time in World Tour, Ranked, Casual, etc. I mean, I got over it but it sucked when it first happened. My profile looks like I edited it or used something to mod time out of it. Your rank stays and your Kudos stay.

But don't uninstall the game without backing your save file up regularly.

Do you not have Steam cloud turned on? Mine synchronises with my Steam Deck just fine and I've at least reinstalled the OS on one of them since SF6 came out. It should be pretty difficult to lose as long as you're online and I see you made it to this forum somehow...

I don't. Steam loves to warn you when 50 games aren't synced, but I haven't even played those games. And when I try to sync them, it doesn't change.

Imagine having a bunch of Steam games in your library that all need updating but when you click update, they don't and then it still says "Update."

I just buy the character passes. I hope your financial situation improves so you can do that, too.

The secret is that you don't need to have all characters unless you're a tournament organiser or very regularly have a huge variety of friends coming around for some local play. So in that regard the rental system is pretty good actually, it lets you get a feel for a new character so you can find out whether it's even worth it to permanently add them to the roster for you. Personally I might not even bother with next year's season pass and rely on rentals instead to figure out which characters I actually want to add to my pool of played characters.

For Honor lets you play characters as much as you want in training mode. Considering how valuable the training mode is in SF6 i really wish theyd at least allow that.

Y'know, you're not wrong, but given how they always front load the battle passes with rental tickets it's not exactly a major issue one way or another. If you play Street Fighter regularly you'll be able to get a few hours in with a character that catches your interest when they drop. An hour or two should be enough to decide whether you actually want to spend the cash on buying them or not.

You can play the DLC "characters" as much as you want in WT and the BH, though.

The fact that they max out how many you can have is straight BS. I bought ultimate so I get DLC characters, so cant even use the rental tickets if I wanted, and now I have the max amount, so the one from the battle pass is just never going to get collected.

I can't figure out where I can see them. There's about 2 or 3 in each battle pass and this is the 4th one I think? Probably 7 to 9?

I managed to claim the first from this battle pass but I can't claim the second.
