Street Fighter™ 6

Aki is the most difficult character in the game
One mistake and you're dead. Huge arsenal of moves, but each of them is weaker than any other character. Insanely complex combinations. The character requires perfect input. Fights last a very long time due to her attempts to realize damage with poison. Long recovery time. Requires the player to know two types of combinations depending on whether the opponent is poisoned or not. A character with good rewards and huge risk.

Instantly shortens her distance to get close to zoning characters such as JP or Ryu.
Lots of techniques to maintain distance with the opponent, but she is very vulnerable to jumping.
One of the best, if not the best Super Art 2.
Can deal massive damage to an opponent pinned against a wall.
Has everything to change his style of play right during a match.

The character is really great.

if missing the point was a person....

anyway all I meant by what I said, your movements have to be more deliberate because she either has short normals, or long recovery. Her strength is when she scores a knockdown and makes you guess between strike-throw, high-low. I also said that it's too early to say whether she is good or bad, Most of the cast has what 3 months of time of more experience. There will always be growing pains learning a new character. Take it from someone like me, since my SF4 and SF5 main is not in this game, so my goal is to get everyone to platinum+ to find a character I like. I go through that reset every time I hit that rank, and sometimes my character places directly into platinum or even Diamond.
Pallatina, really?
To get platinum you only need to have two hands and at least three fingers on each hand.
yeah platinum is 75th percentile.. kinda like it was in SF5. it's high enough to decide if I want to continue a character into master or not

I've read that the platinum here is silver in SF5.
I don't think platinum is something worthwhile here. Platinum in SF6 is a necessary minimum. It's like saying: I learned how to press buttons in the right sequence. Doesn't sound very cool, does it?
My Chun-Li is platinum ranked. It's probably the worst Chun-Li in the whole world! It's hard for me to imagine anyone playing for Chun-Li worse than me xD

Well, the majority of the SF6 playerbase is not strong enough to make it to Platinum. It doesn't count the "New Challenger" rank either, and there are players that play Chun that are nowhere near your rank. This is easily checked by CFN's own data, you can check your rank against every Chun player in the world, or your region, and i could bet all 4 limbs there are at least 3,000 players worse than you even in your region if I were a betting man. Platinum for me is good enough a stopping point because if you go on a long enough streak in your placements, you will fight a master rank player or two depending on if you beat the first one.

You're lucky. Your goal is more attainable than mine. I'm only interested in the Master. All or nothing.

I am still learning the mechanics of the game, and I have already developed terrible habits that I need to break. I think if I get everyone to plat+ I'm sure to just want to finish them the rest of the way anyway and get them to master. I just need a main so I stop getting ratioed at locals
Plus you don't want to burn yourself out and stop having fun with the game, which is why I don't even try to play it every single day because I WILL get mad and tilted. I decided to go this route to keep the hair on my head because recently I decided to go back to school and I'm dealing with some medical issues that require a ton of delicate care.
She has big damage potential if you have good situational awareness which requires practice, the poison explosions can lead to huge conversions but if you don't take full advantage of it her damage is low. Her defensive options are bad, her "reversal" losing to throws might as well not make it a reversal, though it is nice to get out of the corner instantly if you guess right, it's the same problem as Marisa's and Honda's "reversals". Her good buttons are stubby and her walk speed is unfortunately also slow. However she's really good at shutting down fireballs, has one of the best fireballs in the game herself and good oki with easy safejumps. From my experience with her so far characters that don't have to respect her fireball are her problem matchups since it's so important for her to control space with it.

When I get tired of playing, I stop playing for about a month or two and then come back.
Anyway, I wish you a speedy recovery.

She requires a huge amount of practice. It is interesting for its potential.

Best part about Aki: the fear from JP and Guile.

Shame the same can't be said for others such as, say, Honda.

Her fireball is the most unsafe in the game.
That explains why I found it so easy to just jump over her fireball and SPD her as Gief.
lol her fireball can literally be cancelled into her escape snake move. it costs bar, but it has an anti jump in feature. yall need to play the character guides

It's the poor developer's method of "balancing" characters: nerfing their damage output / defence / base health.

A. K. I. looks gimmicky as heck, and more like a char. that will end up mostly annoying to fight (like vs. JP), than fun or a challenge. I can see everyone either rushing her down to stop projectile spams (like vs. JP), which will make every fight awfully predictable (like vs. JP) and/or a roll of the die (like vs. JP) -- get in > you win; don't get in > you lose (like vs. JP).

As far as I can see, the only thing she has going for her are her animations... Even her face is rather disconcerting ("Ada Chinese" is fine; "1920s era caricature Chinese" is...). Most of these new creations really do not lend themselves well to being in a SF game -- more like from some obscure SNK title from the 90s. Frankly, I'm more interested in season-2's offerings, and I hope Crapcom do some reveals in early 2024 as such. For, that will largely determine whether or not the game remains installed after Tekken 8 is out...

Rashid was really intimidating at first, but ended up being pretty predictable. I saw more Aki players in one day than I saw Rashid players in a month.
