I'm diamond 5 and ranked is matchmaking me against 1500+ MR Masters.

Atleast if you get 1 lucky win you make up for 5 losses or so. Heard that getting from d4 to d5 is harder than d5 to master just because of the huge point jumps when you take games off masters.

Also play in morning or early afternoon if you can. That way all the degens are still sleeping and you get softer opponents :)

Diamond 5 is the easiest step.

Plus = when you pass master, you start with 1500MR.

1500 is the beginning of master rank so they just became master, people with lower MR kept losing after they were master

On my 3 master characters I only saw masters twice, one character I never even got to play against one whilst grinding out diamond. You get a load of points for beating them

The match making is still likely to pair you with fellow diamond players

Also some masters don’t rematch diamonds, there is no MR in it for them. Personally I hate the MR system, I understood why they implemented it but it needs redesigning. People at the top not playing and sitting on their points is really bad for the match making

I thought masters started at 0 points, I didn't know 1500 was the mininum MR in that league.

You're gonna have to fight masters to get in master. If you play nothing but other Diamond 5 players, then finally rank into Master, you won't be ready for Master level players when you finally rank into master.
