Wind tock gives access to better versions of some moves - drill move in particular.
Don't block this move as she will be plus on block. You either jump or do a Drive Reversal.
Nobody normally do Drive Reversals but It's essential tool for Zangief and it works great against this move. Facing Lily as Zangief made me learn how to use that almost forgotten core mechanics. It costs 2 drive bars like Drive Impact but it's safer to use as a "get off me" tool.
Made her drill plus and multi hit, like CIREX-PL said can be drive reversaled tho if you're really fast you can borcht OD it too
Anyone with fighting game experience knows that. But this is Capcom's first game, so we should give them a break. Will Zoomers come in with insults or actually address the broken move?
She needs a wind charge to be a threat. This means she is vulnerable to constant attacks. She has +1 frame on the block. If you guess the jump you will do a huge amount of damage, if you don't guess she will do some damage. She is just as vulnerable to DP, and her move is no longer safe if the opponent is against a wall, as that move is now punished by a jump.
Your complaint shows that you are a very passive player who is afraid of your opponent. If you are unable to punish Lily for trying to get a wind charge, it's only your fault.
Imagine what happens when he fights Marisa xD
Yeah it's 'broken' but as said, it's the only thing she has going for her. Once you DI or reversal she has nothing left. Even if she lands a grab she throws you away so she can't follow up. She is definitely at the top of the list for a re-balance. You have to play like an idiot because she plays like an idiot...it's just the way it is. Thankfully she's cute.
All characters have moves plus on block. Ken’s dragon lash is somewhat similar and doesn’t need any charges.
Drive Rush in general makes many normal moves plus on block and is even more oppressive and potentially “broken”.
Also Lily falls apart under pressure when she can’t get wind stocks.
HibikitheBeast's Lily beat Moke's Chun Li more than Moke beat HibikitheBeast in a Custom Room set last night. Both top ten MR ranked players. Look it up in the Replays.
As far as the rest, actually what bothers me the most is not as much the losing and post match saltiness, it's much more the losing and not knowing what I can do about it / not learning anything. Things are a bit different now that none of my friends play fighting games anymore. So where I used to be able to test things quickly, it takes a ton of time to figure things out. Sucks when you don't have people to play it frequently with to learn from. It sucks being salty but much more not being able to learn from it.
Or maybe more accurately stated, it's frustrating to lose to things you have no idea what to do with. It seems a well timed D Reversal or DI can beat it, though I also don't know how to set that up in training mode.
As far as the afraid of my opponent, well I play 4 characters. From most played to least played are Zangief, Blanka, Chun Li, with Ken coming in last. Can't remember who I lost to Lily with, but I don't play keep away with Zangief, and rarely rely on it with Blanka. I'm pretty aggressive with them.
I do appreciate not being chewed out too bad.
And by the way she does ridiculous damage with her two hit ground combo that has huge priority.
